If anyone has questions about the build, the trip, or overlanding in general (since most folks on this platform probably aren't into overlanding) please feel free to ask.
We've gotten to do some pretty cool stuff. And we were recently interviewed by Scott Brady on the Overland Journal Podcast...
Again, thank you for your service to our nation. I understood your comment. Even as a 20 year veteran myself who has been diagnosed with PTSD for some of the horrific things I saw, experienced, and lived during my service, I can't imagine what you've seen in 13 months and 26 months respectively...
I will take all of the Ecuador connections and tips you can send my way. Thanks for the kind words on our Long Game video. It's really been a long road. But we're finally here, at the cusp of our global adventure and it feels incredible.
When we are in Mexico, we'll be planning our Central and...
Right on! What I love about your post the most is that you aren't just talking about doing it, you are taking practical action. Good on you!
Even if you have to wait until April to pick it up, man you are light years ahead of anyone who is dreaming and hasn't taken any concrete actions. This...
Thanks! I see you are up in Austin. The final shop in our build was Just Jeeps. Austin was our home base before we started traveling full-time back in February 2014.
So sorry... you know what they say when you assume. LOL. My apologies. We love the Texas Hill Country. If for some reason you head down the Corpus way between July 31 and August 15 let me know.
Thanks Levi. We're pretty pumped about the journey and watching the world unfold before Caspian's eyes. I mean the rig is cool and all, but at the end of the day it is just stuff. For us it is all about the journey and the memories. Appreciate the encouragement.
Hey thanks for the encouragement, for your service to our nation, and for subscribing to our channel.
I think the questions that we frequently get are often legitimate questions that folks have, and we don't mind answering them. We do a lot of public speaking on full-time travel so we're kind...
Definitely don't sleep on Overland Expo Mountain West. It is going to be a pretty incredible show and I'm sure they'll sell out if they haven't already.
Great question. We are legal residents of Texas (even though we don't own any home or property) it is where we are domiciled. Texas is one of the best states in support of homeschooling.
I pretty much hit the wife lottery. My wife Brittany was homeschooled all the way until University and...
Glad I found you. Really appreciate the contributions I've seen from you here in the forums. I need people like you in my corner for my upcoming travels. Genuinely appreciated. Instant follow. ~ E
We still need to weigh our rig fully loaded out. But we also went with the Airlift 1000 lb air bags. This is in addition to the MOPAR 2" lift and we swapped out the rear coil springs with TeraFlex 3.5" dual rate coil springs. Definitely have our rake back even with the weight we are carrying on...
This is everything. If it got your family to go out and enjoy the journey with you then it was definitely worth it. Good on you Michael!
We have ordered some clip on rechargeable fans from opolar. Haven't received them but at least it is a starting point to cool down our living space a bit...
I cast magic missile into the darkness...
That made me laugh. I started playing in 1977 as a 7 year old kid with the Basic set. Funny too because when Caspian introduces himself to people, he typically says, "Hi I'm Caspian, like the Caspian Sea."
Yeah, I'm curious about the weight too. We'll...
