I don’t have this bumper, but if anyone wants to fit and sketch the shape on a piece of paper or cardboard I could mock it up and laser cut these out of sheet metal pretty cheap. I’d estimate $40 for a set. If anyone can test fit and confirm we could put together a group buy even cheaper
Yeah, fair point. I guess I had always understood the aux battery to be a piggyback that enabled extra features or even a redundant 12v source, but now I see it’s the opposite. Just a little bummed this is an additional point of critical failure and not the cool safety feature I thought it was.
This got me curious so I just went and unplugged the aux battery to see how my gladiator would respond. Sure enough the dash lights up like a Christmas tree and I can’t get it out of the driveway. This feels like a pretty garbage design especially for a vehicle I’d thought was fairly rugged...
My thoughts exactly. With no low range this may be more than software can fix. It’s basically 1/4 of the vehicle combined torque at low rpm which electric motors don’t particularly like vs—potentially—1/2 Per wheel (locked) with torque multiplication on current rigs. Either way I’ll withhold...
I was really excited by the independent 4 wheel drivetrain, but there are several points in these review videos where it looks like the motor with traction is torque limited. I’ll try to grab a time stamp (here’s another), but if you watch any of these videos long enough you’ll see a situation...
Agreed, add me to the list of patiently waiting. I would definitely rather receive high quality lights late than start cutting corners. Thanks for the updates!
Did you get the tonneau with the required mounting rails? I’m ready to buy the whole set, but curious if I’ll have to wait til the topper ships to use the tonneau.
@Bestop Do you know if it’s possible to get hardware with the tonneau?
