  1. JT Gladiator Upper Decker Hinged Cargo Basket Now Available!

When closed, is there any play from side to side? I am considering this, but would probably have a shop fab up some taller RTT mounts, and intend to also mount a batwing awning. I could see som lateral force being applied in a turn, and as the basket does not have a lip theat recesses into bed...
  2. Amp Research, Rock Slide, or Aries Offroad?

I'm glad I saw this, been thinking about getting the armor. Maybe I will wait a while. For what its worth, I participated in the first Jeep Academy class in Holly, Michigan a couple weeks ago. Twice I came down very hard on slider, and a couple more times a dragged a little over a sand/gravel...
  3. Pennsylvania MuffPot for underhood cooking

This makes 4 portions, so you can share with a buddy. Its easier than measuring out portions of cans. spray your pan with non-stick. Get 1 box of stovetop stuffing (you'll only use 1/4 of the stuffing per muffpot), mix with hot water and butter according to box. Do not cook, set aside 1...
  4. Looking for a nice chase rack

nuthouse has one. I feel like there is something missing in the vertical portion though.
  5. Amp Research, Rock Slide, or Aries Offroad?

they come down to right about the middle of my shin...maybe 8”?
  6. Amp Research, Rock Slide, or Aries Offroad?

If you talk to RSE, they will probably tell you why they did the sensors the way they did, as they initially wanted to go OEM sensors. That’s a pretty good sales pitch in its own right. spoiler Alert:several voided warranties in R&D
  7. Amp Research, Rock Slide, or Aries Offroad?

So I have had both on the gladiator, and am very passionate about RSE at this point. Initially went with a pro install of the Amp XL. The shop had issues with the wiring. Couple things here that are important: Wiring integrates to the OEM sensors. I view this as a plus, but... It can void...
  8. Driving in sand tutorial (Outer Banks, NC)?

Please correct me if I’m wrong, but in planning a big excursion to the sea shore next year, I am almost positive they expressly ban driving on the dunes. I believe you have to stay on the water side of all signage. Mostly due to turtle nexts, but also to protect vegetation.
  9. MOPAR Headliner Failure

My LE has it, but I assume it came from the factory. Absolutely no issue here, and I am not parked in a garage or car port ever.
  10. Mojave MPG Concerning

I know they claim there is no engine break in period, but I noticed a significant change around 3500 miles. I am usually in the mid 16s on my LE.
  11. Does Rubicon have heated mirrors?

Sorry if this has been answered, didn't read all replies. My LE has them, so they are certainly available. Not sure which package though.
  12. Gladiator Rubicon Overheating Issue

Doesn't sound like it is a coolant/radiator issue. I'd start by getting an oil sample sent out for testing. Depending on the trace elements that show up can tell you if you are having bearing failure, coolant leak, water, etc. Something is definitely off. My second thought would be to verify...
  13. JTR lit up like Christmas tree, Uconnect changes... help.

The system probably just needs to recalibrate. IF you let the truck idle in park for a while (10-15 minutes), it'll probably fix itself. If that doesn't work, you may have to trigger the restart/recalibration protocols yourself. I had a similar issue with the install of the AMP retractable...
  14. anyone have the Amp Research running boards?

FWIW, I didn’t think I would really need the slideraspect either. However, I did the Jeep Academy thing yesterday, on some fairly mild obstacles, and the gladiator’s wheel base had me coming into contact several times around the middle of the vehicle. The RSE sliders werehardly even slightly...
  15. Drainage spray in bed ?

The bed isn’t water right. It can get out at the tailgate end and also the cab end. It
  16. Coins / change holder?

I picked mine up off of Amazon, but it is quite literally the exact same thing, $10 cheaper. It goes in and out of stock frequently.
  17. anyone have the Amp Research running boards?

I originally bought them. The wiring is somewhat complicated... not just a harness. Because of that, I had a shop install. They messed up the wiring, and ended up having to pay a Jeep electrician to go through the wiring for several days to fix them. Found out Jeep has voided multiple...
  18. Swapped a 6.4L V8 Hemi into my Gladiator Rubicon "SRT" (Videos & Pics)

Deep down, I wouldn't mind getting one of those defective motors that people are bitching about, so I could swap in a HEMI when it goes. Dumb question maybe, but do all of the infotainment screens work exactly the same as they did prior to the swap? Does the driving computer's MPG calculation...
  19. Introducing Jeep Adventure Academy! School to Provide Essential Off-Roading Instruction to Jeep 4x4 Owners and Enthusiasts

I know what you mean, about instructing the bride. I just had to shell out about $2k to have a professional reiterate some dog training techniques I have been trying to teach here since the day she moved in. "I don't know why we didn't try this sooner...!" Enjoy the trip, I was too...
  20. Do you use a winch cover?

I have a synthetic line, and my winch is pretty recessed in to the bumper, with the solenoid sitting over the spool. mostly wondering about winter exposure.
