When closed, is there any play from side to side? I am considering this, but would probably have a shop fab up some taller RTT mounts, and intend to also mount a batwing awning. I could see som lateral force being applied in a turn, and as the basket does not have a lip theat recesses into bed...
I'm glad I saw this, been thinking about getting the armor. Maybe I will wait a while.
For what its worth, I participated in the first Jeep Academy class in Holly, Michigan a couple weeks ago. Twice I came down very hard on slider, and a couple more times a dragged a little over a sand/gravel...
This makes 4 portions, so you can share with a buddy. Its easier than measuring out portions of cans.
spray your pan with non-stick.
Get 1 box of stovetop stuffing (you'll only use 1/4 of the stuffing per muffpot), mix with hot water and butter according to box. Do not cook, set aside

If you talk to RSE, they will probably tell you why they did the sensors the way they did, as they initially wanted to go OEM sensors. That’s a pretty good sales pitch in its own right.
spoiler Alert:several voided warranties in R&D
So I have had both on the gladiator, and am very passionate about RSE at this point.
Initially went with a pro install of the Amp XL. The shop had issues with the wiring. Couple things here that are important:
Wiring integrates to the OEM sensors. I view this as a plus, but...
It can void...
Please correct me if I’m wrong, but in planning a big excursion to the sea shore next year, I am almost positive they expressly ban driving on the dunes. I believe you have to stay on the water side of all signage. Mostly due to turtle nexts, but also to protect vegetation.
Doesn't sound like it is a coolant/radiator issue. I'd start by getting an oil sample sent out for testing. Depending on the trace elements that show up can tell you if you are having bearing failure, coolant leak, water, etc. Something is definitely off.
My second thought would be to verify...
The system probably just needs to recalibrate. IF you let the truck idle in park for a while (10-15 minutes), it'll probably fix itself. If that doesn't work, you may have to trigger the restart/recalibration protocols yourself.
I had a similar issue with the install of the AMP retractable...
FWIW, I didn’t think I would really need the slideraspect either.
However, I did the Jeep Academy thing yesterday, on some fairly mild obstacles, and the gladiator’s wheel base had me coming into contact several times around the middle of the vehicle. The RSE sliders werehardly even slightly...
I originally bought them. The wiring is somewhat complicated... not just a harness. Because of that, I had a shop install. They messed up the wiring, and ended up having to pay a Jeep electrician to go through the wiring for several days to fix them. Found out Jeep has voided multiple...
Deep down, I wouldn't mind getting one of those defective motors that people are bitching about, so I could swap in a HEMI when it goes.
Dumb question maybe, but do all of the infotainment screens work exactly the same as they did prior to the swap? Does the driving computer's MPG calculation...
I know what you mean, about instructing the bride. I just had to shell out about $2k to have a professional reiterate some dog training techniques I have been trying to teach here since the day she moved in.
"I don't know why we didn't try this sooner...!"
Enjoy the trip, I was too...
I have a synthetic line, and my winch is pretty recessed in to the bumper, with the solenoid sitting over the spool.
mostly wondering about winter exposure.
