  1. ⚡️ 2026 JEEP RECON Debut. 650 hp / 620 lb-ft, 0-60 in 3.6 sec, 250 miles range

Not their stated intention. If they decided they wanted to save it they could plug in ICE engines, but idk what the point of that would be, it would still be 60k for a crappy Wrangler, or crappy Wagoneer, depending on your view.
  2. ⚡️ 2026 JEEP RECON Debut. 650 hp / 620 lb-ft, 0-60 in 3.6 sec, 250 miles range

It's STLA Large, so it can do all the engines the Wagoneer, Charger, Grand can do.
  3. ⚡️ 2026 JEEP RECON Debut. 650 hp / 620 lb-ft, 0-60 in 3.6 sec, 250 miles range

They don't expect this to sell, they expect it to be a write off. But since the work was already done, why the hell not launch it. IDK how every single American automaker decided they should all be Tesla and chase the premium market only with their EV's, but the choice is haunting all of...
  4. Advice on winches? Mounting & wiring?

LOD Black Ops bumper, XBull winch, my third one, have one on a trailer, had one on our Grand Cherokee. No wiring tricks, just hooked up per the directions. Tried a cheap bumper, twisted beyond all repair on the first pull, wrecked the winch... Tried a Fishbone, same cheap crap steel, put it...
  5. How does an expert break in a new engine..

I'm fully aware that people don't let reality interrupt their whacky 5 part data analysis that justifies to them whatever silliness they decide they need. And it's a free country. You do you, and tell yourself whatever you need to sleep at night. But don't try to tell everyone else they have...
  6. ZF 8HP Transmission Service

And yet I, and hundreds of thousands of others, managed to have our ZF8's last the lifetime of the vehicle just fine without service.
  7. Traded my Gladiator very reluctantly

For some reason people can't differentiate between a pleasant towing experience and simply getting where you're going. My Gladiator has never failed to get where it was going while towing my camper. My Gladiator has never once delivered a pleasant, worry free experience maintaining speed...
  8. [3.6L] What’s Your Cold Weather Startup Procedure?

I've found, again and again, my next vehicle comes with all that brand new. I do brakes whenever it's warranted, or anything else that actually fails. I even add washer fluid repeatedly. Our FJ never needed brakes, our Grand Cherokee did at like 180k, my Ram went 445,000 miles and got multiple...
  9. [3.6L] What’s Your Cold Weather Startup Procedure?

In general, modern, 2010+ of any make, seems to be more trouble prone than pretty solid 95-2010 stuff. Lot's of complexity on the newest cars, and they all seem to have their complaints. But in my adult life, since graduating college and buying new cars, I haven't had any of them fail to hit...
  10. [3.6L] What’s Your Cold Weather Startup Procedure?

You guy's act like they all blow up a minute off the lot when really, 99% of them make it to 200k barring any accident damage.
  11. Veteran's Thought: Which Truck Would You Choose Besides Jeep Gladiator?

I save a lot of time by only reading forums at work, and spending my free time enjoying the vehicles.
  12. Why's it so dead???

Everyone is on the Facebook groups asking about the best ceramic coating, oil additives, and paint protection films.
  13. We are Suckers

I managed to put 214,000 miles on my Toyota with nothing but oil changes. Never once sent that oil to a lab, never touched a brake pad, shock, transmission pan, never filtered my coolant...
  14. How does an expert break in a new engine..

If you're following data? How do you incorporate the fact that the factory starts them, does some limited diag while they idle, and drives them out into a yard where they sit 2-3 days to get started, driven onto transport over the course of 12-48 hours, thed started, driven into a back lot, sit...
  15. We are Suckers

The specific reason we haven't bought another Toyota, is because it was all literally the same as our 2014 FJ Cruiser. Crazy to ask me to pay 55, 60k for the same drivetrain and interior I paid 28.9 for ten years ago lol. And now the new ones poop their guts out.
  16. New 2.0 Hurricane Turbo 4 engine announced (324 hp / 332 lb-ft)

I just looked, for fun. In October Hurricane 6 engines, SO and HO, out sold Hemi's a little over 2:1 So once again, reality and the forums version don't seem to know each other.
  17. We are Suckers

So, to be clear... You haven't rebuilt an engine in car nor removed an intake to change a starter. But these are still very important things to you.
  18. We are Suckers

These photos, showing you're a hardcore user.... Are in a paved parking lot :CWL::LOL::CWL::LOL::CWL:
  19. ZF 8HP Transmission Service

My Grand Cherokee went 280,000 miles on an unopened ZF8. My Ram went 445,000 miles on an unopened ZF8. My Gladiator is at 52,000 miles and I have zero intention to ever open it. Everytime I buy a new one, it comes with new fluid.
  20. We are Suckers

Name one engine you have ever rebuilt without removing it from the car. Name the last time you pulled an intake to change a starter.
