The screws should be stainless. Not sure what was going on there. We do make inserts for the screws if you are planning to take the system in and out often. Ideally the system was designed to stay in more than not, but we do understand that everybody has a different set of needs and we are...

Funny enough, we happen to have a Leitner rack sitting out back of the office. I just measured it up. the side rails are 2" thick and the crossbars sit 3.5" up from the top of the side bars.
So in short,
DECKED system sits 28.5" down from top of cross bar
DECKED system sits 25' down from top...
Funny enough, we are located in Sun Valley, ID, obviously a ski town. I personally remove one of the drawers in the winter and slide my skis in under the DECKED system on one side. You can fit 4 pairs of skis. If you snowboard, or have short skis, you can put them n the drawer. The DECKED system...
The depth of the Gladiator bed is exactly 17.5" from the top of the bedrail to the bed itself. The DECKED system is exactly 12" tall, so this will leave you right around 5.5" to the top of the bedrails.
It will take you roughly 30 minutes to remove the midsized system. It is a bit more involved than the full sized system. This is all an estimate though. It really depends on how handy you are. Honestly, it's not too difficult.
Interested to hear your experience with our product leaking water. We do not claim for the product to be waterproof, but it absolutely is weather proof. It will keep the contents dry from rain, car wash, pressure washer and anything short of submerging the system. If you have had an issue with...
All good ideas. As I said, we are always looking for ways to improve. Unfortunately, we are limited in some ways as to where and what we can do with our system. Hopefully down the road, we will be able to explore all different designs. Until then, the DECKED system can be removed in about 25-30...
I like your idea about the DECKED system being able to flip up. We are constantly running ideas by our engineers. As far as mounting something to the DECKED for kayaks, that can be done. There is a steel subframe in the system and you can figure out how to mount to it.
You are right. We are always trying to please our customers and accommodate each make and model. We will continue to improve our products in ways that make sense. Thank you for your suggestions, I promise that our engineers are aware of this issue and looking for ways to make it work.
Here are a couple of more specs. I'm sure that there is somebody out there that has one in real life, that could probably give you the info that you are looking for.
I cannot tell you how well the DECKED system will protect the outlet. It is not designed to shield the outlet from rain water, but an open bed leaves the outlet vulnerable to water as well.
As to your question about the integrity being compromised, that is something that we cannot really...
