The Pentastar is sufficient for a truck this size. My last Jeep was a 2 door with Pentastar so it felt a lot more zippy than the Gladiator. But I rather have the reliability of todays Pentastar than be a guinea pig with a new engine.

That’s what I did. It was more so that I stop accidentally pulling the tailgate out of that cam lock hinge.

Without this locking plate, the tailgate can pull out of the camlock hinge thats attached to the truck bed. Thats how I accidentally discovered mine was missing. If you open the tailgate halfway and then pull back on it, it will slide out of that hinge.

Some people just… never learn.

Yikes. That is a lot of issue and not just one dent in the roll bar. My 2023 JTM has none of those issues. Yours? Definitely a Friday build.

Must have been a Friday build. If its any consolation, my Tesla door hinges look like a 9 year old took a ball-peen hammer to it. But with the doors closed, I just forget about it. American craftsmanship just ain’t what it used to be.

I am in your exact same shoes. Waited years for Jeep to make a 2 door gladiator. But the 4 door look eventually grew on me. And now, I have grown to appreciate having all that extra space in the cab. As someone who’s owned multiple 2 door JKs, I can now really understand why the 4 door wranglers...

I just got back from rippin across the desert, drifting around corners on the dirt OHV trail and then powering out WOT. Then, got on the asphalt and went into town for dinner. The Mojave is also one of my all time favorite vehicles. If you want an EV, buy a Tesla.
