first person stated : just start you car earlier. i replied 'to warm up my transmission'? he eagerly stated 'Yes'. I should have just stopped there tbh.
I get some people are 'green' but that one made me scratch my head and lose faith in the dealer.
im in kind of a valley, so its up and down the whole way to work. I told jeep my transmission does not get to operating temp during my commute, they told me 'just take a longer route to work'. i mean..........okay.
cold transmission, full hard accel into traffic, mine hangs in 3rd gear. usually im letting off the throttle bc ive gotten up to speed 50-55mphmph or so, but the rpms hang at 5k rpms and it wont shift unless i manually do it or it finally comes down to 4k and shifts.. its done this since i...
i was never satisfied with my alien shade. the bungee system and stretching it, just was not worth it IMO. id rather just have soft top all the same.
side note: i wear a hat alot and put my sunglasses on the brim. I kept scratchng my lenses and couldnt figure out why.......it was my sunshade.
jeep stated i was 21 miles to empty. i was in the yellow, below a 1/4 tank but not red yet, one notch away. forgot to take a picture of it.
18.963 gallons. range states 313 miles to empty. My JT states i get 15.4 MPG, i calculate closer to 14.5. My speedometer is dead on with gps, idk how my...
my gauge is red and says im 16 miles to empty. i am getting gas in one hour. i will update with pictures.
ive gotten 20 gals once, My experience matches other posters, 17-18 gallons when my fuel light comes on. I never let it get red, but today i did.
I think it is by design personally and...
TL/DR:
You once again are correct. My truck sat from Friday 12pm to Saturday 7pm. No issues, cranked right up.
Story for Data:
Friday morning my ESS message was no longer present and my aux switches warning message did not pop up either. I DID NOT drive 50 miles. I did have 5-6 key cycles...
battery on this vehicle is very easy to change. you need a ten mm socket and an extension. the extension is the for the battery bracket. I did have to wiggle my positive loose with a flat head, but nothing a home kit would not have.
if you use a voltmeter with the stock configuration, youre...
while my experience is very recreational and very minimal compared to your build already.
ive heard great things about clayton, i went with metalcloak and i brag about how awesome of a company they are to everyone.
clayton and metalcloak are both active on the forums and i hope they DM you...
i am beyond annoyed at how standard my 2002 grand mercury is. i own more special tools for that POS that i will only ever use on said POS. end old man rant.
i would suggest a set of impact sockets. i regularly use 15mm-22mm. I would get a deep well set too. I would also get a swivel, and a few extension of differing links.
while i have personally never had a non impact socket come apart while using an impact, i have broken some under extreme...
Like Shadowpapa stated, it wasn’t ESS. I disabled the hood lock alarm which caused my remote start to no longer work and I still had to turn off ESS when I got in the jeep. My TAZER would keep it off, my JScan does not have that feature.
when i did this, it disabled my remote start bc the vehicle thought the hood was open. IDK if they fixed that, i have no revisited that function since last year. It did fix my ASS (auto start stop) though, just with a negative side effect.
secondly, it took me a STUPID amount of time to...
oh for sure. this thread is related to online retailers, but im an dealer advocate and i dont want the wires crossed.
if you go to a dealer, youre less likely to get counterfeit parts. the reason the market is exists is us, consumers. being cheap/pay is stagnant (whichever way floats your...
Ill take 'never worked in a dealers parts department for 800 alex' I mean this as a funny, because i laughed hard.
what youre stating is 100% illegal and could cost a franchise their license. it is 100% not worth it.
Lexus does an outstanding job of combating this. I have never seen 'grey'...
"I'm done doing that- I want quality stuff and i'll pay a couple bucks more to buy it locally from a mom and pop shop just because I don't want the cheap crap to win."
I am a plus/minus up to 50 dollars to support local. If the item i want is available local and within 50 dollars more or less...
automotive and bike parts as of my personal experience. try and find a shimano chain on amazon that is legit. Ive seen some crazy lock actuators for lexus/toyota products come through. seen some funky oil control valves too.
They are called 'grey parts' by lexus. comes in a lexus box, lexus...
