Thatās wild. Thatās seems like a correlation/causation that would take most ppl a long time to put together. Whatās the test for that remote start antenna?
And losses in energy to go back to shape. Seems like there would be something to explain why a laden wheel barrel pushes easier with more tire pressure. I like your formulas, I really do. All other things equal, I would expect a softer sidewall to get lower mpgs, and to your point, I agree that...
Alright, Iāll bite. Mr @Flanders, your formulas donāt account for the changes in the contact patch, correct? Is there a website/reference that would include that, and/or something to give the common driver a way to tell how much their mileage may change from one tire to the next? ( these silly...
For the front : Air locker would be stronger, E-locker might be more convenient.
tires might be a good starting point, depending on whether you want flotation, or to cut through for traction below. Looks like you might be running 35ā MT? Are they digging too quickly for your needs?
We have a JTM, and love doing some mild off roading. We also have a gas getter for local runs ( mainly being an Uber for our kids ). When shopping around, we briefly looked at some 4xe, and I kind of regret not test driving one. I would imagine that a 4xe with doors off would be quite nice...
Thatās what she said? ;-)
This caught my eye ( no pun intended ), for that very reason, and and it looks like almost any soft shackle would fit through that eyelet. It just looks like a 1-trick pony to me.
Understood, and thatās how I read your original post. I was just trying to add some further concerns, and think outside the box. It would be my luck, that I plan for the slow & steady pull, and then if that didnāt work, someone would quickly escalate to a full kinetic recovery.
Iām super...
Wow. Hope no one was hurt, sorry for the truck, good luck on the fixes. Maybe encourage/remind the wife to give more room between her and the vehicles in front? If not, I see a lot of window replacements in your future.
@ShadowsPapa the only other thing that I can think of, is to look at the system as a whole, as a set of links, and carefully select the weak point in the recovery system.
i know we want something thatāll work, and not fail, but in the event that something does fail, what would you want it to...
Well, they come in different sizes; would a soft shackle thatās strong enough for a vehicle recovery go through that hole, or would you have to put a hard shackle in the system?
I wish more ppl were neighborly like this; in todays state of litigation, I would also urge you to be familiar with legal risks. Youāre in Iowa, and Iām in MO. From my latest finds in MO, if a vehicle recovery goes bad, and I attached equipment to their vehicle, they can sue me ( itās dumb )...
