When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
part it out, and make more $$$ than you paid for it. I’ve even heard of ridiculous stories of a guy buying a brand new Cadillac, just to sell it as parts. That was precovid, but may be more applicable in today’s market.
In 3” of snow or less, and/or a little icy spots on the road, our JTHA did quite well with the LSD. Some folks that I’ve talked with had said that you might have to be careful, at times, b/c the LSD might have a tendency on slick surfaces to push you straight when your trying to turn, and it...
I understand your concerns, and losing your investment to rust is real. With that said, more and more of these vehicles are being constructed with components that don’t rust ( use a cloth, cover a magnet, and go explore ). The Mojave hood is steel, and a magnet won’t stick to the body/tub. It...
Says that it’s made in the USA, maybe it was designed in China.
@Glad Jeeper you probably don’t want to block you engine cooling that much, and if you want to winch yourself out of a mud hole you’ll probably want some amount of upward pull to help break suction ( meaning a lower mount is better...
Good point. The RCV ones claim to be twice as strong as the OEM Dana 44 u-joint counterparts, bolt on, and eliminate cow hop. So, if you were to get CV ( or RCV ), it would seem that you would be better to spend your $$$ on something that would increase strength ... then again, those u-joints...
Good question; you can order after market chromoly cv shafts, but I don’t know about the Mopar ones. Heck, I would be curious to find out if the 392 wrangler comes with the same HD wide Dana 44 that’s on the Rubi/Mojave Glaiators.
Maybe a smidge, just from rotational drag of turning more drive lines. The drop that you are seeing is more likely from denser air and/or worse traction. Or higher winds, or not in 8th, or tires dropped pressure b/c it got colder.
Another Freudian slip by a different member? I like mounds close to the frame too. ;-)
sorry for derailing the thread here, my mind must be in the gutter this morning.
back to antennas and mounts for the JT, I thought a lot of the CB stuff was considered outdated and short range, compared to...
Might be a little heavier than a M548; some of us go off-road, been lucky enough to not get stuck ( after learning a few lessons from others ), and don’t see any benefits for aiming for the deep mud holes. It’s like a contest for eating super spicy food, even if you win, you really don’t win. ;-)
