  1. 2024 Gladiator Build & Price Configurator is Finally Live!

The diesel tach only goes up to 6K, right? Probably a typo on the SIXT franchise in Greece claiming they have the gas engine... SIXT welcomes Jeep Gladiator! ? O απόλυτος "μονομάχος", με V6 κινητήρα των 3.6l και 285bhp, ανήκει πλέον στον στόλο μας και ήρθε για να σε πάει παντού!... | By Sixt |...
  2. 2024 Gladiator Build & Price Configurator is Finally Live!

Wait until November / December '24; the 26%-30% off MSRP is bound to replay again in the future. Biggest discount, if you're already driving a great '22 JTR, is to keep whatcha got, though?
  3. 2024 Gladiator Build & Price Configurator is Finally Live!

I happened to have a subpanel nearby, but it was ~$20 in parts for a new circuit breaker and single-gang box/faceplate to accomodate Level 2 (220V 16A) charging. On the X package comparisons: I negotiated a '23 JTM 6MT down to 26% off MSRP in Houston, $52K before 6.25% tax. A '24 JTM 6MT with...
  4. 2024 Gladiator Build & Price Configurator is Finally Live!

I was on the fence about unpainted versus painted, but: - The original painted fenders on my wife's '97 TJ Sahara are probably in better shape (paint-wise) than anything else on the vehicle. - Unpainted Laredo trim pieces on my WJ are pretty badly faded (and not worth replacing at this point).
  5. Jeep site odd picture

Maybe they forgot wheels in the option list for the "sa" variable in their rendering application? :) https://www.jeep.com/mediaserver/iris?client=FCAUS&market=U&brand=J&vehicle=2024_JT&paint=PDS&fabric=GX&sa=JTJH98,2TA,23A,0C3&pov=fronthero "sa" is a comma-separated list of options; some of...
  6. Parking your Jeep outside

I had rats decide to live in the WJ a few years back, on top of the exhaust manifold / heat shield. Saw another WJ at the scrap yard with "evidence" in the same location, too. Also found acorns behind the driver's side headlight / airbox assembly, probably squirrels. Thankfully no damage...
  7. This seems like a good deal thoughts?

I had the Central Florida CDJR folks back off quite a bit on their initial attempt at junk fees. Ended up being 26% off MSRP "fees inclusive" after some discussion (instead of the 32% off MSRP they were advertising on Auto Trader). If @iklo 's yellow JT has less than 50-60 miles on the...
  8. This seems like a good deal thoughts?

They're advertising 15% + 15%, and I suspect they'd drop whatever fees are in that boilerplate down at the bottom. That JT has been sitting in their inventory for a while, though. Might ask them how many miles on the odometer at this point.
  9. Better incentives in February on leftover 23s?

FWIW, the U.S. News / TrueCar certificate actually costs the dealer money to accept; for a $1K code, they allegedly have to pay $300 back to U.S. News for the referral.
  10. 2024 Six Speed Manual Waiting Room

Might see if @Birds83 's JT has the latest fix; it's a MY23 produced before the latest fix was available (and that dealer, Ourisman, said they were going to address the recall before sale).
  11. 2024 Six Speed Manual Waiting Room

I got the sense that the October through December-produced MY23 and ongoing MY24 vehicles had an entirely different clutch assembly, something more than just a temperature sensor and rerouting of hoses above the transmission. Can't find the MY24 Gladiator on the Mopar parts sites for a...
  12. 2024 Six Speed Manual Waiting Room

It'll be interesting to see when all of these hit D1 versus the automatics; hopefully no difference in scheduling now that the clutch issues are supposed to be sorted.
  13. Any former WJ owners want to compare to their JTs? (build quality, noise, handling, long-term ownership, etc.)

Put in an order today for a '24 JTM. Y'all didn't do a good enough job scaring me away from the JT, hah! If it all actually works out, I'll post a photo with the family Jeeps (WJ/TJ/MJ) before we decide which ones are going/staying.

  15. Latest 2024 Jeep Gladiator Order Guide Released [Updated Monthly]

Yeah, I'm OK with it. It's a little bit Volvo-like, in terms of "this is what you're going to get AND YOU'LL LIKE IT!", but it actually ain't bad. /me goes back to reviewing the '24 Volvo V60 PE option sheet: "What's that? There are no choices whatsoever?"
  16. Latest 2024 Jeep Gladiator Order Guide Released [Updated Monthly]

Hah! For any folks interested in what the '24 Mojave "green" interior looks like, these folks have a lot of photos: https://www.jimshorkey.com/new-North+Huntingdon-2024-Jeep-Gladiator-Mojave-1C6JJTEG5RL104589
  17. Any former WJ owners want to compare to their JTs? (build quality, noise, handling, long-term ownership, etc.)

Thanks for all the replies, folks. I suppose nothing stands out as "NO, DON'T DO IT!", but then I've perhaps prebiased the question by asking on a JT forum :) I suspect a slightly different answer if I asked on the WJ forum... @ShrimpHappens - my Laredo has just the basic HVAC controls (and...
  18. Any former WJ owners want to compare to their JTs? (build quality, noise, handling, long-term ownership, etc.)

Ahhh yes, the WJ rotor warping thing. I have the upgraded Mopar front caliper kit (factory from '02 onward?) on mine and Wagner rotors that helps. I suppose given that we're five years into production of the JT, a lot of these type of teething problems are sorted at this point, right?
  19. Any former WJ owners want to compare to their JTs? (build quality, noise, handling, long-term ownership, etc.)

Yeah, sorry that the comparison is a bit odd/unfair: unibody SUV to "body-on-frame pickup with removeable roof". What led to me to the JT in the first place: we had a '96 XJ Sport with the 5-speed + 4.0 years ago (which was great, super fun to drive), and the JT is the only new product left...
  20. Any former WJ owners want to compare to their JTs? (build quality, noise, handling, long-term ownership, etc.)

Curious to know if any of y'all have gone from a '99-'04 WJ to a JT, and if you could share general long-term observations for general-purpose / around-town use? I have a 2000 WJ Laredo, RWD, 4.0, bought "used" while still in the warranty period back in 2001. I had a short test drive of a demo...
