I really enjoyed the discussion, I’ve been on RV boards for years specifically for truck campers and those threads go off the rails on payload. But your talking 5-6K in the bed. And there is always those wanting to justify overloading their rig. I’m simply wanting real world numbers to work with...
I do have one last question, I have not found in any of my manuals where it says payload is based on 150LB driver, Other makes and models have done that in the past and I think we assume that's the case here but I haven't seen it anywhere. Would be nice if it were true....

I wasn't trying to say anything about the tires other than that was what was swapped along with the power steps and Sunrider so still dropped 86lbs regardless...
Actually mine as delivered was 924 off the door sticker, after swapping everything went to the cat scale and reweighed full of fuel and subtracted that weight from max of 6450 and now sit at 1010…
In case anyone was wondering I shaved about 86 pounds off my Rubicon by swapping to overland wheels and tires, amp research power steps and the sunrider top. Giving me 1010 on payload now….

I picked up a set of OEM wheels and tires from a non rubicon. I am trying to find the weight difference in that set vs the Stock Rubicon tires for my 22. Yes I can weight a single wheel from the set I bought, but don't feel like taking a wheel off the JT to get the Rubicon weight...Trying to go...

Since the gladiator has electronic sway control would I need a weight distribution hitch for a 4000lbs trailer? The RV salesman is pushing for one but I haven't seen anyone using one at that weight....
