We both over-analyze and research things to their fullest.
I'm sure well debating more than just gearing :movember::movember::like:
I dropped the Jeep off earlier. He's throwing the gears in today and I'm taking him the diff covers in the morning to finish it up.
Scored some metal cloak covers...
Honestly you'll probably be fine.
Here is a set of 5.38 gears from a JK and JL. The redesigned set looks to have a substantial more amount of contact.
New JL on the right
JL on top in ^^ this one.
Actually I read it all again. Your using factory tire size with the 4.10s. to compare. Can't do that and have it make sense. Changing two variables at the same time dilutes the data. My statement was about 37s and 5.13 in 8th being the same as 37s and 4.10 in 7th. If he wanted to see how 37s /...
Something is wrong with your math.
If you look at the chart above comparing 4.10 (left) and 5.13 (right) you'll see in the last segment it shows rpm at given road speeds. Both with 37s
The difference between the 5.13s in 8th and the 4.10s in 7th is less 5rpms. I stand by my statement.
So far I love them.
Only about 300 miles on them but I've driven to salt lake and back twice and they ride great at 80. Can't hear them on the road over the wind so reasonably quite.
Pretty good. Only spot it’s off a little is the rear corners as the gladiator rounds sooner than the old taco. Think like how the canyon bed cover fits that some are using.
For the distance you want 10ga.
When you pop the cover off there are four square holes that the factory inverter plug screws into. You need to cut out the hole to outside of the holes to fit the plug. Some trimming of the thumb screws that hold the plugs in is required to fit this new enlarged...
