Nice job, I think that should function well for you. I passed mine through a grommet about a 1/2 inch up the side from your hole, and have had zero binding or rubbing issues since then.
As long as I keep getting free windshield replacement through my insurance, I am not going to sweat this issue all too much. Out where I am dirt roads are everywhere, and the state gravels the highways for winter conditions... its bound to happen.
But even I will admit three windshields in a...
Correct, mine is just hooked up to my stock air box. No codes, no issues, and I’d even hazard to say that it’s helped keep my oil temps down on long drives. Haven’t really changed anything else different since the snorkel, so don’t know what else to attribute it to.
Same here no issues with the truck, no pcm updates.
Since last time I posted though, I did warrantee out a Sy-Clone filter due to a failing bearing in the fan. The warranty process was simple and I had a new filter in no time.
Good to know for future reference, thanks! They still look like eyeballs though! Haha. The factory LED’s are just fine really. I just hate having to pull over every 20 minutes or so during the winter to scoop out the Cascade Concrete (read wet snow that sticks to everything) out of my headlight...

Has anyone been following these? I searched the forum and haven’t found any mention so far.

This is definitely what I had in mind at first, but being in an area relatively new to me I haven’t really figured out where to get some aluminum cut out here. I was going to mock up a CAD design and send it out to send/cut/send, but didn’t get around to it.
I wanted to extend it out over the...
Could you post some photos of yours? I’m really curious to see how it turned out. How much clearance is there between the plate and the fuse box lid?
I modified a powertrays universal mount and attached it to my fuse box lid for my SwitchPro. I had to float mine over the Sdi controller, most people could mount it lower to the lid than I did, as I have slight clearance issues having to mount mine that high.
Powertrays played a big part in...
