appears these have bolt holes for 2, 3, 4" lift adjustments. The AEV bracketes have washer that is stamped offset. The orintation of the washer changes the adjustable for lift height. But these have the 3 holes to move the bolt up and towards the rear for adjustment edit: I would use both together

Usually a starter main cable has 2 nuts.. 1 securing the cable post (which is attached internally to the solenoid) to the housing, then the cable installed and last the nut securing the cable on the post.. sounds like stater cable wasnt tighten at the plant
