How young is young? I remember the time when they took up all of my and my wife's time.
@Gliebig I went back and forth, 35's vs 37's...then kept seeing everyone talk about buy once/cry once, I jumped on the 37's as soon as I saw the price.
@Jglad15 What are you waiting on with those wheels...
I am going to be ordering my wheels this month/next month, then Ill get the 37's I have mounted up and put on. I'll be posting plenty of pictures on here, so if you are still looking when that happens, hopefully they will help you decide.
I would love to. I'd like to get the few BOH badges that we have around here. I'm pretty new to the offroad world though, just so I can manage some expectations.
Im down near Waugh Chapel, central-ish. Near Odenton/Crofton/Bowie.
I have really enjoyed the Jeep so far...and that's an understatement. Fuel economy is great, unless you mash the pedal...but if you do find yourself needing to do that, then the diesel has some juice to get you goin.
Armorlite showed up QUICK!
Probably a week between ordering and arriving...I went ahead and took care of the install this morning. Took about 2 hrs, which Armorlite says to plan for, so that want too bad. I probably could have saved 30 minutes if I was more familiar with the electrical block in...
@jay21mojave @DankjeeP @cdyoung9799 @jjdustr340
Thanks yall, this is helping out a lot. I see a lot of 11.5's...I should probably get out there an measure my tires, they are second hand after all. Based on these pictures, it doesnt seem like a crazy amount of variation.
I think cdyoungs would...
I have a new 2021 JTRD that I have been absolutely loving the last few months! One of the best parts of owning a jeep so far has been mapping out the mods I want to do, and it has led me here...
I understand wheel offset and backspacing. What I am having an impossible time picturing though, is...
Found some stupid affordable Patagonia 37's, lightly used. I already know I'd like to get some Fuel Shoks to run them on, and from everything I have seen, they will fit just fine for road use until I get my lift.
Oh, I also have my Armorlite fronts coming in the mail, so some pictures to...
I got up underneath my Jeep today, and put some paint on some of my scratches/rust from my recent adventure.
I didnt expect to see rust popping up so fast.
That shudder you got...I turn mine off with the button every time I get in it. Occasionally, there is still a slight shudder (not the full blown restart) after I have been stopped and then let off the brake. It's as if the truck still wants to work the ESS.
Have you experienced that?
I'm in central MD, and just filled up yesterday. 2.89 for diesel and 2.99 for gas...and these are not backwards.
My recent trip to AOAA in PA had diesel for almost a full dollar more, just 2 1/2 hours away.
Thanks for this! I am looking at 37's and a 3.5 MC for my diesel, sometimes wonder if the 37's would look too big, but they always end up looking great!
Alright, just got back from AOAA and like I said I would, here are a couple pictures from the adventure.
Our group of 4 getting aired down and ready to go
at the end of the day
Overall, what a great time! I thought we started off a bit rough, and had a few bangs in the...
Another good use, thank you! And then IRT the hotter air, I guess it's moving pretty quickly so maybe not as hot as I would think.
I see you have a Hilux, that is a sweet ride. I drove one in AF, wish we could get one here!
One of the pluses for a snorkel, aside from the water protection, is the cooler IAT....will travelling across the entire engine bay heat it up to the point of it losing that benefit?
Just read through everything...there are some serious gear heads in here, pretty awesome! Fortunately for me I don't have any plans for towing with my JTRD, although it was interesting reading about some of the passive cooling options. I know it get's real hot out on the trails in the summer...
