Lower control arms should be installed one at a time with the weight of the Jeep on the ground. You can try to tilt the pinion back a tiny bit by placing the jack on the backside of the pinion.
That was my whole point. There isn’t one that is a 37 Unless you go up a size. That’s why I quoted his post. The myth is the stupidity around the whole people try and measure these. Nothing has changed. What is on the side wall is what they are. If you want a “37“ buy the one with the tread you...
It doesn’t care unless you’re in 4wd. And if you’re on a trail why can’t you limp off of it with a smaller tire. Its not like your running King of the hammers.
Look, I’m just playing devils advocate here. Trying to save you some money. I’ve been on 95% of the trails in Colorado and I don’t...
This. If you want a 37, buy one that says it on the sidewall because that’s what they are. This whole tire height thing is a retarded internet myth. The sizes have been what they have for years. Lift manufacturers use the size for their own testing. A 37 is a 37.
It’s always crazy to see video of this trail. Big vehicle’s struggle. I’ve ran it 5 or 6 times. The easiest was in my little 2014 JK sport on 33s and no lockers. Never had an issue. I had a tougher time in my JK Rubi on 35s. My 2 dr JLR on 37s was a walk in the park. The wider the Jeep the...
Had to be 2017 round about. Remember, that was my experience which is just one person out of many who have owned those tires. Many others probably haven’t had those issues. I personally would never own another General.
That is a great deal on tires though. I would definitely go that route whichever tire you choose. I just got 37” KO2s on mine from Walmart.com at 356 each. They are back up to over 420 again. I got lucky.
After puncturing a tire on a gravel road and how bad they were in the snow, I wouldn’t go back. I had them on my 2015 JKR. I lived near Vail for many years and was excited to get the Generals at the time. Boy was I wrong. And yes I would pay 400 more.
Added the 3/4” coil spacers to the rear. Was sitting too high in the front with the RC 2.5 spacers. Now it looks level. So easy. Found the dreaded RR axle seal leak. Cleaned it with Brakeclean and took out a bunch of that fiber fill that the vent had in it. Will check it going forward prior to...
New wheels and 37’s. Definitely need to add those 3/4” spacers in the rear. Have 2.5 RC lift in front. Even though my driveway has a slant it still looks too low in the rear. Measuring the rock rails front and back it still has about 1/2” rake.
