I just ordered some vibration damping washing machine feet and printed an adapter (I love 3d printing, lol?). I realized that I’ve only been printing in normal and not “sport” or “ludicrous”. I can’t imagine printing faster. I’d have to bolt this thing to a concrete slab.
A smart alternator doesn’t simply run when the vehicle is on, so it’s normal to not get higher voltage just because the engine is running. They’re designed to run during low load to save fuel.
Here’s a video of a guy with a Wrangler demonstrating the alternator turning off under acceleration...
What printer? I haven’t had that happen. It could be a glitch in the gcode. I would take another look at the slice. I’ve had plenty of badly designed objects that I’ve found and are hard to print well. I’ve had to fix things in Fusion. Are you also sure that object itself didn’t shift? I’ve had...
I moved the mount to the trail rail for easy access which necessitated making a trail rail backing plate for an M8 nut and a spacer to move the mount further out. I’ll post the trail rail backing plate too. Obviously this is for lightweight items, not PowerTanks, etc. Also, for an uncovered bed...
IMHO the stock truck wasn't safe hauling itself down the road, so I'm not surprised it has such a low payload. I'll take the Pepsi challenge on handling, emergency or otherwise, against an unloaded stock JTRD with its unsafe, undersprung, under damped, under anti-roll rate, shit suspension any...
The recovery gear doesn't weigh very much. The 2 jacks and all their accoutrements weight a lot less than those Badlands floor jacks everyone likes to carry now. The spill kit doesn't weigh anything. My large recovery gear bag is easily lifted. It's probably less than 50 lbs. The deadman weighs...
Improved the knob wrench to also work on maxtrax pins and steel eyelets and made mount for it. It looks a bit gynecological from a certain angle, but it works.

FYI, The black on the tool is black filament. I’m printing all of this with a Bambu AMS unit, so I can print in up to 4 colors/filament types (up to 16 with multiple AMS units).
For example: This whale shark’s different colors are all filament.
Coming Soon (in 5-6 hours, when done printing): A new and improved 3-in-one Knob Wrench: aka "The Jeep Coochie"
1. Tightens various knobs like this one:
2. Tightens rack eyelets like these:
3. Turns MaxTrax Pins, both outer and inner+outer.
This works really well for opening and closing...
I have the diesel and it doesn’t auto up shift. I’ve put it manual and then forgot and had the truck running at the redline. Honestly, I rarely use the paddles. Coming from manual cars (this is my first auto) running through gears isn’t much fun on a vehicle with such a low red line and all the...
This Tazer Holder.... Kinda of superfluous, kinda cool. The magnets I bought suck, so you have to use a number of them. It's also kind of cool because if you know where it will stick, you can just snap it up there. Now there needs to be one that clips to the gateway extension cable to keep that...
Knob wrench for the divider wall. I’m loving the 3d printer.

Knob wrench for my bed divider wall that’s detailed here:

This allows you to get a lot more torque on these. I’m going to start posting the stls for these sorts of things on Thangs.com, etc. ….
This fits...
I’ll have to take a picture when I get a chance. I believe I drilled a hole in the back plastic wall of the jeep where that shelf is (where the Bluetooth speaker would live if you got that option) and just fish taped through the vent from the outside or maybe just used the rigid cable itself. I...
I ran mine through the air vent on the back of the cab since my WeBoost sits in that little pocket the rear seat. Then the cable runs up to the top of the Diamondback and back to the antenna at the far back.
Yeah, I carry a Noco jump starter. I would add that people need to set a reminder for themselves to charge these. Something I’ve neglected to do. I’m curious as to the state of mine and will check today. It’s also apparently worth carrying one of the large fuse arrays that folks here on the...
