Yep, that is the part number. I used a 2024 392 VIN to have @AllMoparParts.com order and verify it for me.
Interesting, hmm, I'm having a tough time finding a seller, all (so far) show unavailable. I'll keep looking. Thanks for the verification. ?

Try @AllMoparParts.com on here. They were able to order it for me, but it was an almost 4 month wait.

Mine does this too. Honestly it’s never bothered me that much. I just throw the lever into manual mode. It does seem janky though so a fix would be nice. I would think that’s gonna have to come from Z. I’ve had a number of scary gremlins from my Tazer so I hope they fix those first. I find that I really don’t use the paddle shifters much. It’s sort of a waste on the diesel since its redline is at like 5500 RPM and all the torque is right above idle. My snorkel pre-filter roars like a vacuum that’s about to explode at high RPMs too. Revving through the gears just isn’t much fun. Also for some goofy reason the diesel has no engine braking at all, so downshifting doesn’t seem to do anything except make noise. I’d gladly get a GDE tune with all that involves just to get engine braking. It drives me crazy. I really miss having a manual transmission car. I need to find a used ND2 at a reasonable price.
Has anyone activated the paddles with the tazer on a diesel? Does it gear hold or does it stil automatically upshift?

I have a transmission toon and it still auto upshifts even in M. Normally not a big deal but when snow wheeling it goes from 30mph wheel speed to shifting and going to 60 pretty quickly. I would like to have manual gear holding with no upshift or downshift.

Can anyone confirm?

I have the diesel and it doesn’t auto up shift. I’ve put it manual and then forgot and had the truck running at the redline. Honestly, I rarely use the paddles. Coming from manual cars (this is my first auto) running through gears isn’t much fun on a vehicle with such a low red line and all the torque right off of idle. The paddle shifting is nice off road. It would be even better if the diesel actually had engine braking. So for the diesel I see it as more of a novelty than an a much needed improvement. I also find that the paddle shifter don’t compensate for the inconsistency in the turbo lag. Sometimes my truck screeches tires, other times it doesn’t want to move. I wish that was the transmission but it’s more of a turbo lag issue.

tuned diesels have a lot more engine braking if requested

Other than a method to enable the paddle shifters (Tazer, JScan, AlfaOBD) afterwards, you’ve got the rest of it.

Thanks. Got Tazer and AlfaOBD plus the security bypass.

Those paddle switches are on back order.

So I think I've followed this thread since it started. That red stitched 392 wheel is on my want list now. I've read that the back of the steering wheel switches are a bit different to accommodate the paddles. I don't need the paddles. Does anyone know for sure if the back of the wheel switches from my sport will or will not work on the 7SG452R3AA wheel?

not sure, but sure a Mojave wheel would. You could probably color the orange stitching red. Other than the lack of paddles and orange stitching, Mojave wheel is identical to 392.
