There should be plugs on both sides of the firewall separating the engine from the cockpit. They are not too difficult to find. Here is the one on the passenger side (vid link). The one on the driver side is really easy to find.

Was your dealer able to figure this out? Mine cannot.

But does this correct the OP's first issue - dome light not working? Is their a relation between the footwell ambient lights and the dome light? TIA
