Everything I have read said don't use those since people have had issues in the past with soft tops when they do something like that. Other than storage it rolling it up would take longer than sliding that part in/out. getting the bottom in is such a PIA I wish they could make that easier.

Your best bet is to take a decent drive to get one. Mopar wants way to much for these things. Bestop I think will come out with one, but who knows when. Still waiting on JL/JT core doors....

And whats even funnier is some of the older jeeps have them not mounted to the doors. somebody actually made the decision to move them.

Yep that area would be perfect. Or if something like quadratec's JK mirror movers was in place. At one point I was looking at aftermarket truck mirrors and cube light brackets and was close to an idea for something.

Yep. That really frustrates me, almost as much as the mirrors themselves and how crap they are. But Mopar would rather charge us $300 for doors off mirrors, then more money again if we also want tube doors....

Can't speak for the JT specific, but I know the one in my van shows a status on the display every time I tap my brakes. Guessing its a common thing. Really good mounting position there

It restored them enough that you really have to be looking really close to notice. I never remove mine so it solved the issue from my point of view. If I every remove mine I am guessing there will be some evidence there of the crushing though.

Did they list anywhere what gauge wire to use on these? Want to make sure I have everything ready for an aux switch install.
