Searching this forum, seems lots of others have the same complaint as I do. The "favorite" setting only makes one BT device preferred over other BT devices. It's not available (grayed out) when only one device is paired. I've searched every menu and tried every option.

I found a partial solution, though it's a crude hack. I still have the BT to FM transmitter from my old car. If I plug that in to the switched 12V power socket and tune the radio to it, I get silence instead of static when the radio turns itself on... but I still have to go through the motions...
