About 60% happened on the I-17 in AZ, other 40% on other roadways in AZ. To answer your question, just bad luck. Insert frustrated very sad face imoji here,
Update: Had the JTW’s windshield replaced yesterday with Mopar OEM glass. Safelite did not have GG in stock. I think this is windshield #4 for our 2022 JTW. Perhaps next(about 2-4 months) time we can get. GG installed if available.
I installed the Elite Maxs yesterday and did remove the engine air filter box for adjustment access for the right(passenger) side.. Since my set are VOR, I set the height with the passenger side first, then would remove the driver side and make the adjustments. Took about 30 minutes total...
That should still be under warranty for replacement. I know it is frustrating thinking that this might be a good answer to highway damage or even stress cracks but we have found to the contrary that that GG didn't last any longer than regular laminated soda glass. I was shown a different...
Yup, me too! Purchased from DD Elite Max headlights and the SS3 Pro Fog lights. The BF sale price was too good to pass up! Being delivered tomorrow via UPS..
SwayLOC from Off Road Only. https://offroadonly.com/shop/swayloc/oro-swayloc-for-jeep-wrangler-jl-jt/ I have used JKS front sway bar disconnects on two of my former Jeep GCs and they worked fine. Just that I am older now and having to flip a lever to unlock or lock the front sway bar is a...
Nice JTW! I don't know about Colorado off-road trails but you might want to get OnX and the OnX Offroad app for your cell. It will show you off-road areas and if you hunt, all the game units in CO. I have it for AZ only and it is a very good app. You can download off-line maps to your cell in...
My JTW came with the Mopar mats. I like the Jeep design in those mats and they have the drain plug for the front mats. The rear mats lock together at the tranny tunnel hump. Which is good, because it protects the carpet over tranny tunnel.
We are on windshield #5, counting the original OEM windshield. We had a GG installed about 45 days ago and it finally succumbed to the AZ I-17 with a rock impact that put an 8" crack on the upper passenger side. It did take some very loud rock hits previously with no damage surprisingly. The GG...
Had my 3:73s swapped out for 4:10s about 2 months ago. I have not yet noticed a MPG drop or gain, seems to be about the same. It does get off the line a bit quicker and I did notice when mountain driving and dropping to lower gears downhill, was perceptibly better when manually selecting a lower...
Agreed! Also a lot has do with the training, knowledge, and experience of the mechanics. This has been a big variable from my 53 years of cars, trucks, bikes, and boats. I have one last free oil change from the dealership(Yes, some folk here don't trust the dealerships for this service) but I...
I always fill it back up before it gets to below an 1/8 of a tank. Running a gas tank dry is a no-no in any vehicle. And no, I don't overfill since that can throw a MIL code for the evaporative emissions system. Still, I will let you know what the dealer response will be regarding the "burping"...
I too have this issue with gas burping out the gas fill. Depending on the gas pump, it happens about 50% on the time. I have tried every setting on the fuel nozzles and it has happened on every setting. Very annoying to say the least! I am also wondering if I really am getting 22 gallons into...
Wow! That is quite the reply! You really need to ease up a bit. No one takes well to a condescending rebuttal. Although I do appreciate your information and background study on OEM vs GG. Perhaps my next reply/post will be less simplistic.
Good day sir…
Had a GG installed yesterday(#3 replacement since Aug 2022). Other than a lot more printed information on the lower driver side, we shall see if indeed it resists rock strikes better than a OEM windshield. $0 deductible for the windshield and Allstate stated there would be no added charge for...
