My Willys with stock tires and an auto trans is averaging 21 mpg overall. That is combined highway and "small town" driving. Fortunately, I don't have to contend with stop-and-go city driving. I notice that it does downshift, even on slight inclines, so 4.10's would probably help you in that...
You may be correct. But wouldn't the vertical motion of suspension travel put the same stresses on the bushings? I did the same for a 2" TJ spacer lift and drove it for 11 years with no control arm bushing issues. Maybe I just got lucky with that one.
Keep in mind, that's a Rubicon (and a beautiful one at that). It has wider axles and longer springs than your Willys, so it has more room for those 35's. As for installing the TeraFlex levellers, they're pretty simple if you have a floor jack, jack stands, and a torque wrench (or have a friend...
35's will likely rub on a Willy's at full turn with your stock wheels. I installed the TeraFlex 1.5 levelling kit in the front of mine and am going with 285/75r17's (34 x 11's). Many on this site have gone that route. You can do a search and see if you like them. Lots of pics on this site.
I have a Willys with Teraflex 1.5" leveling pucks and plan to go to 315/70r17's on my stock wheels. Would 0.5" wheel spacers be enough to clear at full turn when flexed? Also, I have an auto trans with 3.73 gears. Would the 34.4" tires hurt me much on gas mileage and power?
Thanks in advance.
A guy on the Wrangler forum has been running one of these for 10K miles, or so. He has no complaints. Considering the price, it's worth a look, I would think.

How many miles can I expect to get out of them with regular rotation? Is 40,000 about it? I've read where one guy got 70,000 (though I don't expect to get anywhere near that). Beautiful rig, BTW.
They look nice for a reasonably priced tire, but I would like to know how they hold up. The fact that they offer no tread warranty bothers me some. Thanks in advance.
John Jeep 67, I added the TeraFlex 1.5 leveling kit today and brought my front to within 1/4" of the back of my truck. I think it will be fine with the 285/75r17's without a spacer in the back.

I'm going with the TeraFlex 1.5 leveling kit on mine. I figure to go with LT 285/70r17 all terrains (about 33"). I really don't want to deal with re-gearing at this point. I would love to see some pics of a similar setup if someone could post them.
