First...what everyone said so far is all true...I love my Rub, I dont take it as offroad as I should ...I drive it a bunch...I camp a bunch...but dont get to use the bells and whistles that it comes with...at the end of the day I would/will get another
Second, as an avid cyclist (road competing...
I am also getting door rattle...only at speed like > 45
you can feel it (and even see it shake the mirror) closer to the upper hinge on the inside where the mirror is-ish. Window down or up has no effect.
Anyone found a solution would be AWESOME.
I have been looking to add this. Two questions:
1) Any issues with the drilling etc? (Nervous already)
2) In the summer I switch to a soft top for a few months. I know that I will not have the ability to use the rack (Obviously) but is there any issue disassembling and then re-assembling...
If you have to put away wet...yes you pretty much need to get to where you are going and put up again. Be it your house or next campsite. Again...it opens in < 2 minutes so get home and open for a few hours. I have also gotten home...it’s still raining ans I opened up just so it’s not sitting...
I did the same with that...and its a huge NO with that. Had to cut a bigger hole...its awesome now that its done but sucked when I found out it didnt fit. Not sure how he did it but I hooked it to an aux switch just in case.
I have a “real truck” (flatbed 450 with vinyl (singy in the summer) and when people ask me about my JT. “I wake up ans peek out the window at her every day...”. Everything has a purpose
I LOVE my RTT
Pros
1) weather is almost never a factor
2) 90 seconds to set up
3) minion loves the treehouse factor
4) can still use the truck bed for whatever
5) the annex for an extra tent / storage
Cons
1) cost
2) weight (keep it in most of the summer but you know it’s there)
3) mpg...
Ha...stealing Bro Science
I noticed a pretty significant drop in mph when I have bikes on the back (hitch rack) then not...which is understandable, but its even more then my RTT which is above the roofline...I am guessing that's why a lot of trucks have those flaps at the back of their trailer...
Yep...in NJ they tried to do that with times entering and exiting the NJTP however its my understanding that was fought and the state lost so stopped doing it. Something about the highway authority does not monitor speeding, also speeding is supposed to be "observed" by an officer (I know those...
