Not to exactly solve the problem, but you said "ticking" and it reminded me of this YouTube overlanding channel dude (TrailRecon) where he had that issue. He explains what the ticking is and what had to be done to fix it. Your situation may be different or whatever but interesting to see what...
RCI Metalworks is what you want...I have two mounts one on each side. Just be careful of any RTT or awnings mounted that can get in the way. But beyond that, it works great.

I did the same (traveled 500 miles or so) and manual specifically states to not do the first oil change till it tells you...it actually went to 9k before it did.
Way lighter right? It doesn’t have that entire back to deal with.

This is exactly what mine shows...I assume that is the charging but not the actual charge from of the battery itself. So can I assume I need a new battery? (I mean its a 2020 72k on the ordinal battery)

I have a gen1 JT ordered from the factory…I was not provided with a manual but WAS provided with a thumb drive with the manual on it. Probably saved 2 trees
I will be one of the many people here who have bought from Travis and will say the experience was fantastic…regardless of where you lay your head…it’s worth the trip.
