Mine is on the side RCI rack...this is thru-axle but you can get quick release...or even a combo of both. They do sell an option for the front wheel holder. As for upright, I have not seen any for this type of rack...(in the 90's there were some made but that was specifically for bikerace...
Yep...I do have the OVS one and yes...its much heavier and bigger.
I can say this, the folks at OVS are pretty cool...they helped me out a bunch when mine broke (my fault) and super helpful. Also...the OVS has a much larger coverage (goes to the front of the jeep not just the rear doors.) but...
Have one for a year now. All the pros and cons said here are valid.
That being said I will add my $.02
Cons

I am handy...
I have a rack over the bed and still able to remove myself.
I was able to take off all the bolts etc then from the inside lift just enough for one or the other side ro clear the roll bar and place it on a moving mat. So you are going to slide it towards the drivers or pass side....
Once you...
UPDATE!
Yea went the drill and chisel out method. It wasnt so bad...you drill a circle to get the top off and filter out...then carefully chisel down to the gasket/ring...once there it unsticks and able to twist it out.
Thanks yall for the advice...although I was kinda looking for a solution not a "here is how to not do that again"...however its good to know I pretty much follow what has been already stated above as good practice (obv I wasnt the one putting this thing on)
The problem (other then Jeep using...
