  1. Putting Winch on Freedom (Sport S) with steel bumper sag?

Thanks for the info on the Diesel Springs... Firmer ride, you'd do it though again?
  2. Winter Driving - Fishtailing

I am in total agreement on the value of the auto 4WD in Montana. It was a requirement of mine also and hard to find and like you I noticed few dealers ever checked the box for it. Heck you are lucky if they check the LSD box which ought to be a minimum requirement up here. But I stumbled onto a...
  3. Winter Driving - Fishtailing

I live in MT. One they don't use salt. And they do not plow down to pavement and use a dirtlike substance on the slick areas for SOME traction. There is usually a couple of inches of snow on the roads other than interstates/limited acess. But once it is on there without snow for awhile and on...
  4. Steel bumper came on Freedom Edition ready for a winch

Update: I got the winch plate and am going with OEM as an update. I've had a busy year including major operations so this is a bit later. I was able to shop a lot and got a deal on the plate AND a hoop over the top.
  5. Putting Winch on Freedom (Sport S) with steel bumper sag?

Thanks, I think this gets at what I wanted. Just wondering about the diesel springs. They are all about addressing the difference in weight between engines. Much appreciated on the measurements.
  6. Putting Winch on Freedom (Sport S) with steel bumper sag?

Oh definitely synthetic, learned that lesson...
  7. Putting Winch on Freedom (Sport S) with steel bumper sag?

I've looked at the other threads and I guess they are not getting at what I'm interested in. The Freedom comes with the steel Rubicon bumpers "winch ready." I have the plate and am looking to get the winch and install over the winter. This basically has a Sport S suspension so am I going to...
  8. Another thinking about switching to a Gladi from a Taco thread

I'm about the same on MPG but sure isn't the numbers on my Monroney.... But, I knew that coming in. I'm not complaining. I think looking back in 20 years, the 3.6 will be the old 4.0 of the future and the ZF tranny is a relatively perfect match... I had a 5.7 Hemi truck but traveled home a lot...
  9. Have you tried doing this?

    Ba dump bump...
  10. How do you drive with your dogs?

I see you abuse your dog like we do. The horrible lives they lead. I'm surprised we haven't been arrested.

  12. Have you tried doing this?

Reminds me of the most common last words in Texas.... "Here hold my beer, watch me do this?" The whole thing seemed a bit unnecessary or more easily done unless you just like holes and driving in them to see if anything breaks. Yeah, you gotta straddle but...
  13. How do you drive with your dogs?

One, he is an English variant. They tend to be blockier and stockier and heavier, otherwise same dog. American variants are generally slimmer, a bit lighter and more active. He's gonna be a big big boy you can tell. I'd get a Ram 1500 and give him the 40% in the back seat. Ram 1500 (NOT 2500's)...
  14. Finding a Selec-Trac In Stock?

I got one because of your post on Ebay for 13 bucks... I'll figure out where to put it...
  15. 2025 Jeep Gladaitor BIG BEAR - New Trim appears on Jeep site

I think they call them "leather trimmed." I got them on my Freedom last year... Not a real big deal if you ask me but OK.
  16. 2025 Jeep Gladaitor BIG BEAR - New Trim appears on Jeep site

Just a Willy's? I might have agreed with that until 2024. This year it has some real off road equipment and NOT just cosmetics.
  17. 2025 Jeep Gladaitor BIG BEAR - New Trim appears on Jeep site

It's a cosmetic package. For California, how come I'm not surprised... You get tires, badging, safety stuff (California) and bells and whistles like leather trimmed seats blah blah. Here's something on it...
