So both sides of the front axle spin at all times, (your hubs are directly connected, in both CV trucks and U-joint trucks) the FAD prevents the axles from engaging with the driveshaft - I.e. when in 2Hi the front driveshaft does not spin. Supposedly this gives some amount of fuel efficiency...
You can throw the regular t-case into 4Hi on the fly, I guess having the auto-4wd eliminates one step but itās always been a āmeh, one more thing that could breakā item for me. My only experience is from the WJ iteration of it though.
Doing your own maintenance doesnāt void the factory bumper to bumper or powertrain, so I doubt itād affect this. Just read the paperwork of the warranty you bought, itāll tell you.
I believe those are from the factory and have the nut attached to them so that the assembly line can zip the bolt on without having to hold it on the other side.
Sounded to me like it was grinding the gears. Normally I'd point to the driver on that but given the years of issues with these MT clutches I actually think your clutch might not be engaging correctly (i.e., you push the pedal but it's still sticking for a fraction of a second then BZZZRRRRT)...

Yes, they stopped putting those on sometime in late 22. My early 23 doesnāt have one. You can order one from moparparts though. The only way the tailgate comes out is if you pull on it at a very specific angle though so it may not be worth the effort š¤·āāļø
