No, it was pretty much maxed-out with that spacer lift's abilities. My rear tires were stuffed, and with that 1" spacer, that was all the flex she had in the back-end...Which was my limiting factor. Because it stuffs the one rear tire with all the weight on it, and once it's maxed, it will...
Yes. That is disconnected in 2wd (using the Tazer JL Mini), so the right rear tire would slip (spin-over a little bit) and I'd hear it, letting me know when I was at max flex, since I was by myself and didn't have a spotter.
The pictures don't really do it justice... I'm not a short guy (~6'0"), and I took the pictures between face and chest height, so it makes the tires look bigger than the concrete ramp, but the ramp measures 36" at the flat top (starting where you see that form-seam that's almost under my tire)...
Man, I've always thought those new FJ's were just fuck-ugly. Folks obviously like them, and that's cool... But, damn they're just ugly to me.
That meme reminds me of a song... :like:
Jeep spent my money for me, when they didn't give me any engine options, or I would have gone with a 5.7 Hemi (if it was the only upgrade option), or definitely gone with a 6.4 Hemi (if it had also been offered). The Ford 5.0 Coyote engine is one of the lightest V8's on the market...It's an...
Yep! I was thoroughly impressed with what mine can do in its current form. Tape measured 34" of vertical flex with 37" tires, stock Rubicon suspension, with a 2.5" front spacer, and a 1" rear spacer. Can't wait to see what it will do once I swap all that out, and install my EVO Mfg. Enforcer...
Actually, Ford has always copied the IH Scout from the very get-go. The IH Scout 80 was released in 1961, and the Ford Bronco wasn't until 1966, and almost a direct rip-off of the body shape, size, and design. :like:
That's a matter of personal opinion... One of which I completely disagree with. The ONLY time downsizing a truck engine has been a positive upgrade was when Chevy went from the 50 year old based design 5.7 350 engine design to the 5.3 324c.i. LS engines...But it still kept the same number of...
That was me up until about 12 years ago... One purchase of a Daiwa Steez rod, paired with a Shimano Calcutta TE200DC ($1,200 rig), that I picked up at employee pricing for $800, and I was done for. Since then, it’s custom rods and custom super-tuned $350+ Shimano Chronarch D and Chronarch 50MG...
A B&W Tri Ball 7" drop is what I use on my Cummins 2500 with a 6" lift and 38's...Used that hitch for 13 years and hauled some huge stuff with it. It's pricey, but I highly recommend it.
On my JTR with a 2.5" lift and 37's, a B&W Tri Ball 5" drop would be about perfect.
