Yep. I was shocked too! Once I get it installed, I’ll be carefully monitoring the issue. Praying it never leaks again.
Sorry to hear about your axle leaking again.
Update...
Dropped by dealership this morning to check on progress. They just rolled out the crate. The crate with my new axle. I thought it would be a new assembly but it was the whole new rear axle!! Jeep doesn’t want it taken apart and instead wants to research and study the issue. New rear...
Very informative video... thanks for sharing. I too have the Clayton 3.5 Overland Plus lift and love it! What's the dimensions of your Yakima platform? or do they just come in S, M, L?
Thank you
UPDATE...
Just dropped off my JT at the dealership. Took over a week to get the axle assembly. They said they'll probably have it at least 2 days, if not into the weekend and should be ready by Monday. They'rre seeing more and more JT's coming in for the leaking axle...
I'll update...
Service advisor said “complete assembly”. I’m assuming that’s what you’re talking about. I don’t see why they would need to change actual housing or the axle itself. I’ll know when I get to the dealership. Again, he said two day install. Don’t know why he would need it two days if it only...
Still waiting for axle assembly to show up. They said 5 business days from last Thursday. They said two day install...
Noticed some small fluid in the front now. Is this pretty common, to have axle leak in the front axles, hope not.
Heard of some guys running the 1350 and got vibrations. they took it off and went back to stock and its gone. Perhaps the exact measurements were off?
I have the Clayton 3.5 Overland Plus with Nitto Ridge Grappler's in 37". What was your measurements for the driveshafts (front & rear)...
Thanks for the update. My dealership said the same thing about slowly starting to see the issue... JK's were notorious for this.
My dealership said it would be 2 day install... I can't be away from my rig for more than an hour! LOL
I hear ya... the whole thing is a hassle. Luckily I know the Master Tech and pulled up, showed him the issue and they immediately placed a request to FCA, when I got home, I emailed the pictures to the service advisor. FCA responded right back saying the whole new axle assembly is on its...
So I just emailed my service advisor some pictures. He emailed me back and said the whole axle will be at the dealership in 5 business days. Whole swap folks... again, thank God I cancelled the regear tomorrow.
Hey Guys... just installed my AWE Exhaust and my installer noticed some fluid on my right rear passenger side inner part of wheel. He immediately told me my axles were leaking... I wouldn't have noticed or to look until he told me. I was scheduled to regear to 5.13 tomorrow, but thank...
I have the Fox 2.0 Shocks... pretty pleased with them as everday driving is soft and comfortable. Been contemplating on switching to Falcon 3.3. adjustables. Suprisingly, the other week, I loaded down the truck with camping gear and even had over 100 lbs of wood on a cargo tray on my hitch...
So I have the Clayton 3.5" Overland Plus lift and love it! I'm just looking to fine tune the steering and some aspects of the overall ride... I currently have a RLD canopy (170lbs) on. Will relocating the rear trackbar help with the slight body roll (speed bumps, whoops, etc) I have? Not...
