The top fits in the bed just like above picture. Not sure I would drive around regularly like that tho. But to bring it some where to store it would be fine. 60 lbs sounds about right. I was able to remove mine by myself, standing in the bed with minimal effort

Around here you need mirrors to not get a ticket... And I still prefer to have them for visibility with the doors off....it's dangerous driving around Boston with out them

I can flex it if I stand on it, but it doesn't flex under normal conditions at all. (And I'm heavy) Took about 5 min to install also
