Because a Jeep truck isn't available without a convertible top, it's not exactly easy to remove and there are many reasons to buy the Gladiator beyond it being a convertible. If a permanent hardtop version were available, I would have bought that, particularly if it saved some $$.
I have had...
I also eventually switched to rather mild AT tires (Pirelli Scorpians,) but put them on a set of like-new Wrangler rims I picked up at decent price. When I ordered my truck with MTs I couldn't forsee all the highway driving I now do. So I came to want something that handled better, and was...
I left the freedom panels off for a day and never smelled a thing, even before I clear coated them 3 weeks later (started seeing light fingernail scratches before deciding to clear coat.) When I went back and did the top, it was off for several days and same thing, no smell. BTW, the clear coat...
I have always wished our MTs had this feature! This is the first 6-speed that I've driven regularly. My Honda is a 5-speed, as was my Nissan truck. My wife has a 6-speed and when we're out on the highway, many times she's had to remind me there's still another gear left to go!
5th and 6th...
No pic needed. Some who had the earlier update (for newer trucks, IDK???) posted what it looked like. It took a long time for this update to become available for my truck, so I was just interested if it also added that feature. I'm really looking forward to that change!
Does your auto have a "tow" button? My Ram had that and it lessened its eagerness to incessantly upshift. I never towed, but used it on hilly roads often.
On mine, I think that after the tires wore in to match the camber, things improved. It was intolerable on the drive home on a two lane highway. I about turned back to return it. After a couple thousand miles, it was not so bad. Later, the tire wear showed it was wearing the inside tread a...
If you go back 5 posts before yours, it looks like RiderDad27 has found track mounts with the Overland rack that solves your (our) problem. Only I can't get him to reply with the info about the feet he's using. I can't find them on the Overland site -- not even sure that's who makes the feet.
You'd get that impression just reading these negative threads -- people pissing about the recall, 1st being too low and 5th/6th being too high (maybe just 5th?) But IMO, driving it is a pleasure. An easy clutch that doesn't make your leg ache in traffic. 1st is low for a reason and crawling...
Yea, I was just trying to take advantage of a couple more free Jeep Wave oil changes. I have always done all the oil changes on all my other vehicles myself. I'd actually prefer that they just hand me the oil and filter. Maybe I'll just blow off the freebies until this recall has the bugs...
Mud terrains? I alternate between the Falcon MTs and Pirelli Scorpians (for highway trips.) The MTs do all kinds of wierd stuff, like shudder when coming to a stop.
Happens often in southern AZ during the monsoon season. I'm sure the wash wasn't raging when he attempted to cross. On a couple of occasions I've stopped at washes that were less than a foot deep and watched them rise a couple feet in a matter of minutes. This year is a particularly wet...
