  1. Trail map to a worthy successor for my truck.

If you could live with a Sport without the trail cam, do you need it in the Rubi? That a Swiss plane? LSA? Looks like a lot of fun. Kinda doubt I could ever invest in something that couldn’t haul the family of four...so maybe a Cherokee 6 or C210...and those won’t trailer.
  2. Manual Transmission Club

My build is very similar...and was submitted on 4/8. I’m not even sure how many days I was in D. I have only checked a couple times, on 6/1, still on 6/25. Not sure when it went D1, but that was still my status on 7/8, and now it’s in Paint.
  3. Trail map to a worthy successor for my truck.

Regarding seat covers: Bartact is just about the only option you need to consider. Cheaper than leather, water proof, don’t fade like neoprene, breathe better than neoprene. You can clean these things with a wire brush...they’re THAT durable. Yes, I’ve done it. Not to mention using every...
  4. Manual Transmission Club

Well, 2 days Later and he texted to say I’m in F-Paint
  5. In-built Inverter?

Well, the Dometics have both DC and AC plugs, along with built-in battery minders. I would simply much rather plug it in in the bed than take space out of the back seat.
  6. Manual Transmission Club

Dealer told me yesterday I was in D1...though I dropped by unannounced. Rubi, manual, soft top, bedliner, tow, switch, cold wx
  7. In-built Inverter?

The real questions for me would be, Is the plug hot, or only powered with ignition? Also, as the “mind reading Ad-servers” decided to run a link for Dometic directly above this comment box for me, would the plug run a fridge freezer? If they take a start max of 1.4 amps, what’s the constant load?
  8. As basic as you can get...sport model

My 08 JK had manual windows, locks, and a soft top. The windows unzip FROM THE OUTSIDE. The security of locking doors was a farce, so I didn’t. Traded that on a 14 JKU with factory ordered half doors...so power window and locks weren’t even an option. Now, while the upper door windows unzip...
  9. Jeep added a spray liner in my Gladiator build & I didnt order that upgrade.

While I DID request the bedliner, FCA added the Premium Soft Top after it went through. I was on the fence about that one, and don’t mind too much.
  10. MCE Fenders here

I’ve been hoping to see you guys on here and developing something for the JL/JT! I’ve got MCE’s on my JKU, and would put them on my camping trailer, if I wasn’t looking to sell it now. Whatever you guys do will definitely be something I’m interested in.
  11. Why I like Craigslist...

A few years back, I snagged 4 full doors, a hard top, and a soft top from a JKU for $400. Seller was a scorned wife whose soon-to-be-ex-husband knew his Jeep was about to be repo’ed, so he stripped the Jeep and left it in the driveway naked. She said she knew the parts were worth a lot more...
  12. Pro's/Con's putting Rubicon Suspension on an Overland

If you’re getting the Rubicon springs, I’m hoping you come away with the shocks as well...those will definitely be an improvement over stock.
  13. Blind spot monitor picking up things directly behind the Jeep

Can’t say I’m surprised...the system in my Father-in-Law’s Ram thinks my DRIVEWAY is a threat and hits the brakes when I try to back into it.
  14. Jeep Rubicon ORO (Off-Road-Only)

You forgot to mention that it comes standard with half doors and a soft top. The reality is that Jeep makes a no-frills Sport and a basic Rubicon and for some reason have decided they’d rather let the aftermarket get the profits from the other stuff you mentioned. They DID come out with crate...
  15. Car seats!

Diono is definitely among the best for tight spots. I really liked our Recaro seats (good dimensions, memory foam padding, steel frame) but they quit selling them in the US...so we’ve added a Diono to the mix.
  16. Rear Seat Cover

I’m just praying Bartact gets something to market fast
  17. Why should I get an automatic over manual Gladiator?

“Manually shifting” an automatic is about as rewarding as manually adjusting the volume of the radio. It’s video game mode for Millennials. Automatics lasting “for life” is an absolute JOKE. They may not be a guaranteed failure before 150k miles anymore, but most are still a crapshoot for a...
  18. Why should I get an automatic over manual Gladiator?

This is a win, in my book. Honda has always built some of the smoothest, easiest shifting manuals on earth...and that’s a complement, not a problem. I’ve only owned 7 vehicles, but 6 of them were manuals. The auto lasted 6 months in my possession before I just had to get a manual. My wife...
  19. Ohio 2012 JK Sport

Sent a PM...wasn’t sure if you saw it.
  20. Jallopnik tows a Grand Wagoneer with a JT Sport S Max Tow

I’d definitely like to jump on that, but it would have been a LOT easier to get it from Dayton than Detroit. Maybe he’d be willing to deliver it back to Southern Indiana
