If you could live with a Sport without the trail cam, do you need it in the Rubi?
That a Swiss plane? LSA? Looks like a lot of fun. Kinda doubt I could ever invest in something that couldn’t haul the family of four...so maybe a Cherokee 6 or C210...and those won’t trailer.
My build is very similar...and was submitted on 4/8. I’m not even sure how many days I was in D. I have only checked a couple times, on 6/1, still on 6/25. Not sure when it went D1, but that was still my status on 7/8, and now it’s in Paint.
Regarding seat covers: Bartact is just about the only option you need to consider. Cheaper than leather, water proof, don’t fade like neoprene, breathe better than neoprene. You can clean these things with a wire brush...they’re THAT durable. Yes, I’ve done it. Not to mention using every...
Well, the Dometics have both DC and AC plugs, along with built-in battery minders. I would simply much rather plug it in in the bed than take space out of the back seat.
The real questions for me would be, Is the plug hot, or only powered with ignition? Also, as the “mind reading Ad-servers” decided to run a link for Dometic directly above this comment box for me, would the plug run a fridge freezer? If they take a start max of 1.4 amps, what’s the constant load?
My 08 JK had manual windows, locks, and a soft top. The windows unzip FROM THE OUTSIDE. The security of locking doors was a farce, so I didn’t. Traded that on a 14 JKU with factory ordered half doors...so power window and locks weren’t even an option. Now, while the upper door windows unzip...
I’ve been hoping to see you guys on here and developing something for the JL/JT!
I’ve got MCE’s on my JKU, and would put them on my camping trailer, if I wasn’t looking to sell it now. Whatever you guys do will definitely be something I’m interested in.
A few years back, I snagged 4 full doors, a hard top, and a soft top from a JKU for $400. Seller was a scorned wife whose soon-to-be-ex-husband knew his Jeep was about to be repo’ed, so he stripped the Jeep and left it in the driveway naked. She said she knew the parts were worth a lot more...
You forgot to mention that it comes standard with half doors and a soft top.
The reality is that Jeep makes a no-frills Sport and a basic Rubicon and for some reason have decided they’d rather let the aftermarket get the profits from the other stuff you mentioned. They DID come out with crate...
Diono is definitely among the best for tight spots. I really liked our Recaro seats (good dimensions, memory foam padding, steel frame) but they quit selling them in the US...so we’ve added a Diono to the mix.
“Manually shifting” an automatic is about as rewarding as manually adjusting the volume of the radio. It’s video game mode for Millennials. Automatics lasting “for life” is an absolute JOKE. They may not be a guaranteed failure before 150k miles anymore, but most are still a crapshoot for a...
This is a win, in my book. Honda has always built some of the smoothest, easiest shifting manuals on earth...and that’s a complement, not a problem. I’ve only owned 7 vehicles, but 6 of them were manuals. The auto lasted 6 months in my possession before I just had to get a manual. My wife...
I’d definitely like to jump on that, but it would have been a LOT easier to get it from Dayton than Detroit. Maybe he’d be willing to deliver it back to Southern Indiana
