Every car out there improves when it is redesigned..though not all depend on a 10 year life cycle. What you don’t see is a 10-20% increase in price with a typical redesign. Technology improves and often becomes LESS expensive as time goes on. Jeep has kept the Wrangler ahead of the pace for...
The easiest explanation is that Jeep managed to to go too far with pricing the JL. The JK sold in crazy numbers, maxing our production capacity and creating global demand for localized factories that could absorb production demand in places like China. Yes, automotive sales are down a bit...
Unfortunately, Gator falls into the category of color that Jeep likes to run for a 1-1.5 model years. As it comes out so late in the year, I expect it to make it into the 2021 model year, but would be shocked to see a longer run. Granite Crystal, however, arrived later in 2014, but falls into...
Exactly. As it stands, they walked a tight rope. Balancing wheelbase, break over and departure angles, the demand for a “real bed” but not a too long bed. In the quest to be all things to all people in a single product, there will always be a litany of compromises made.
Well, now you’ve gone and done it...HALF DOORS.
I kinda doubt they’d include the cut back up at the rear, just because some mother on the engineering staff would “point” out that “you’ll poke your eye out on that thing!”
But if you’ll do me the favor of replacing that board with a kayak, and...
Hmmm...well, I guess if I leave my ordered White Rubi on the lot, and I’ll have some time to save for extra options when Gobi hits. Or, I take it, drive it, and find some local yokel that’ll pay me close close to or over my 5% below-invoice price, thinking they’re “letting someone else eat the...
Jeep has, maybe, the most incompetent IT department. Period. They can’t open up a new model year of an existing vehicle for ordering without a week worth of website glitches. Then too, they complicate things further by doing an incremental slow rollout of options and trim levels. It helps to...
Well, as of now, my dealer says I have EP pricing. He’s also assured me that if I change my mind, he’ll be happy to put the truck on the lot and I can walk.
If I don’t get EP, then i’ll Go enjoy a nice test drive, hand him back the keys, and wait for Gobi. Or Gator. Whichever one shows up...
Though too, weather stripping fails, people fail to operate the top correctly, etc....they leak. You can accept we drive a vehicle that is MADE to be capable of handling a rain shower with the top DOWN, and be thankful that a leak is a minor inconvenience and an acceptable predicament to be in...
I think you lack appreciation for just how much fun a Jeep can be in the middle of winter. I mean, one of the greatest things about living in a place with actual differentiation in our seasons is that you also get to enjoy different attributes of Jeep life.
It will likely include a few specific parts: the canvas and frame assembly, folded and assembled, the door surrounds, the windows, and any hardware required for install.
I disagree with the logic...but I haven’t had to live with it yet. I mean, the top would be folded in the same location that a tonneau cover occupies when folded...but at least it wouldn’t look more awkward than the word awkward.
Eventually used hard tops will start to hit the market...and typically they start around $1500 and then begin a slide. Give it a few years and they’ll drop below a grand.
Well shoot...now I gotta know: does the spare tire come with a matching wheel, or is it steel? This will definitely affect the resale value of the stock shoes
Not sure...was simply tweeking the order I have with my dealer. Not able to play with the configurator myself. Also, I’m just texting back and forth, so hard to ask too many questions
I’m not buying an XJ or YJ....I’m not putting a winch from Harbor Freight on this truck.
But to the OP, just contact your dealer. There is always a window of time before it hits the point of no return...dealers need that when they screw up the order too.
