  1. 2020 Gladiator ordering bank now open!

Dealer sent me the same pic as soon as orders showed up for him...mine is about to be submitted!
  2. Looks like a lease on a Gladiator will be $143/mo

The same way they’ve been selling used Wranglers and Tacoma’s. Some people refuse to buy new under the illusion that they’re saving money. Also, the NEW cost goes up every few months. So, if a 2022 is $900 more expensive than the same truck now, the used truck that has only lost 10% of its value...
  3. Looks like a lease on a Gladiator will be $143/mo

Also of note, “a predicted 89% residual after 24 months”. Sooooo....good luck to anyone hoping to find a good deal on a used one in a couple years
  4. My white Gladiator Rubicon delivered!

Until he has pictures of it, I’m going to assume his salesman is jerking his chain. There are NO orders happening yet, just people getting pre-spec loaded Overlands and Rubicons
  5. Orders are open, apparently.

Dealer sent me a screenshot of his ordering page...and aside from info on LE’s, there was nothing.
  6. 'Retro' Graphics Option?

I get the impression that we’re making this game too easy for Bob.
  7. So at the end of the day why the Gladiator? Pickup is better

    Doesn’t work for me...she learned on her dad’s 70 Challenger R/T convertible.
  8. What’s up with “Granite-Gate”?

Every color definitely develops a cult following...but that doesn’t change the fact that core colors sell in the greatest quantity.
  9. Orders are open, apparently.

Just texted my dealer...will see what he says
  10. What’s up with “Granite-Gate”?

Naw...white, black, silver, grey and red are the most popular colors, even when “spicier” options exist. Most manufacturers limit themselves to very few niche colors because it’s not worth the investment, and niche colors often have lower resale value. As lifestyle vehicles, Jeeps manage to have...
  11. So at the end of the day why the Gladiator? Pickup is better

There is ZERO chance that I’ll be paying $60k for a Gladiator. Low $40’s for a lightly optioned Rubicon will be my limit. It’s careful budgeting that puts me in a financial position to be able to buy this truck...Besides that, fuel economy isn’t just about money, it’s also about being a good...
  12. So at the end of the day why the Gladiator? Pickup is better

My wife had Jeeps before me, so the bigger fear is that me getting a Gladiator will result in her demanding a new JLU. She’s already broached the subject...but may be willing to think about an older 2 door. I watch the weight VERY carefully. On 35’s my JKU is still averaging 17ish
  13. So at the end of the day why the Gladiator? Pickup is better

You assume everyone wants to maximize those factors for their $. Bigger isn’t always better. It’s a WASTE of money for me to buy a truck so big that it has to sit outside and rust. It’s a hassle to buy a truck so big that I have to park at the back of parking lots, and would struggle to...
  14. Would You Pay Over MSRP To Be One Of The First Gladiator Owners?

Maybe if it came with a trailer full of bacon.
  15. 'Retro' Graphics Option?

    CJ-8, but yes
  16. Land Rover Dealer isn’t helping

    I think you misspelled “glorious”
  17. Tops! Canopy / covers / toppers / racks possibilities for Gladiator - Show me!

Excellent....and if it were hinged on one side, you could flip it up Out of the way like a Land Rover jump seat
  18. Gladiator Pricing Calculator WorkSheet

Dealers weren’t supposed to be able to jack with LE pricing. Having a dealer tell me that they will charge extra on the initial purchase helps me to know where I would NEVER take my business again, maintenance or otherwise.
  19. Easter Eggs on Easter Weekend

Car and Driver mentioned that one of the EJS concepts included an under-hood burrito cooker on top of the engine “because Tacos suck”.
  20. Gladiator Owners Manual (Download in PDF)

Pretty excellent that the manual is hotlinked though.
