I can’t find any recall info. Could you post some info please. Sometimes getting things done at a dealer can be challenging. Thanks. I tow a lot and have about 10,000 trouble free miles. I have probably put 7 1/2 gallons of DEF in and showing about 40% full now.
Just under 8000 miles and I tow often. I followed the towing break in 500 miles or what ever it was keeping the seed down. It was a pain taking the time so I just pulled a loaded trailer around town often. It’s a diesel. No leaks.
I hope I never have to go through something like this but if I do I will take the same route calling around. It seems like in todays world there are businesses that can get results and others that are not motivated to help.
Yes it’s about torque. I also tow and not looking for engine that causes gear hunting. If I did not have a towing need I would have probably gone gas.
So if people are driving electric vehicles say they have to evacuate for a wildfire or hurricane, or what ever happens. The traffic piles up and now people are out of electric charge. I have seen the interstate almost stopped for hurricanes and stations running out of gas but somehow people...
I leave my hitch in most all the time. I have probably had 5 people roll into one at stop lights and signs. Never any damage to my vehicle but sure does a job on their bumper. I use the backup camera to make sure it does not hang over a sidewalk or the white line between parking spaces.
Like I said I don’t tow extreme temps and terrain. I am mid range on weight but have a lot of wind drag. I also followed all the crazy break in requirements. If I was going to be towing upper limits of weight and temps I would have bought a one ton.
Well I tow a lot and I am real happy with mine. I don’t look at mpg, I look at towing proportions and the diesel hits it out of the park for me. I would be gear hunting with the gas engine. I also don’t live in the extreme temperature areas that some of you do.
I am glad for your outcome. Also glad you stood your ground when you told them you did not drive through water. It has to feel good knowing you were right.
