If I was a Jeep salesman I would leave the hood up on one and tell people how well Jeep designed the engine and compartment. I would not say anything about Bronco and give people thinking about a choice something to think about.
How about any who have gone into the safe mode does your fan always go into high? Personally I have not been able to tow yet because my boat is in production but if ever faced with high temps I sure hope the fan goes into high speed before temps rise. I may never need it because I will stay way...
The diesel has the two speed fan that is supposed to put more air thru the radiator. My question is when does this kick in. Does it only kick in when the engine gets hot and goes into a safe mode or does it kick in before to keep temps down. I was told it’s very loud and you would notice it.
It’s probably a government mandate but at least we can turn it off. I think I read on this forum somewhere that someone did a study and maybe over 9000 miles it saved $10. I can’t remember the numbers but it was small. That may be the reason for two batteries
I carry a can of Lysol crisp linen under the back seat and spray my floor mats the slush ones all the time. Usually I spray and just wipe them down spray again leave them wet with Lysol and shut the door. Sometimes I spray the carpet and turn the A/C on with the truck running for a while. I do...
First Jeep for me. I have had trucks since the early 70’s and only bought because I wanted another truck. When I drove the gas model and it started all the gear hunting/downshifting that was a no go for me. The diesel drives effortlessly with enough power for what I need. Harley riders which the...
The way I understand it is. Under Section E. I went to the owners manual and scanned the symbol there. You do that by putting the camera on your phone over it. It should show something to look up. The are two sections. One for gas and another for diesel. I would still verify with a dealer asking...
I have a diesel and am satisfied with it. There is no way I would go with a gas one. I don’t like the way they gear hunt for me. All the American truck manufacturers I think have been buying diesel fuel pumps from a German company and have had their share of the same problems. I could go over a...
Ford has had this problem with these fuel pumps for a while and they try to push back saying water in fuel or bad fuel. Changing the fuel filter it is very important to not go over recommended miles and document everything. Some dealers push saying some DEF got in the fuel. I stay away from old...
Not to derail the thread but is 5% biodiesel good enough. Circle K here sells that mix. Would a little EDT help. I might have to see about checking the fuel filter ever so often I think there is a drain you can open. Water is no good there. I buy fuel at stations that sell a lot
I have not had my diesel very long and have not towed yet. I am told the fan will go into a higher speed to draw air through the radiator but I can’t say I have noticed that. When overheated do you notice a higher fan speed.
