  1. Front ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement

I had what I thought was a bad speed sensor on my front passenger side as well. Turned out it was the wire from the sensor to the first connector. I had managed to "stretch" it or damage it while off-roading. Trying to use my Mojave like a Rubicon... Could not see damage under the wire wrap...
  2. P0563

    Thank you!!
  3. P0563

Did the load test on the main battery. It's good - didn't drop when I pushed the load button on tester. I Don't have an Aux Battery - bypassed it a while ago. My guess is a random ground issue somewhere... And main battery is new from when the last time this happened a year ago. Maybe...
  4. P0563

Know this one is an old thread. Looking to see if anyone found the issue. Mine has done this twice - about a year ago and recently today when I first started up in the morning. Saw that battery voltage on the dash: 16+. Took it to dealer last time and they couldn't find anything wrong. Charged...
  5. ARB Bumper and Warn winch on Mojave - love it!

I used an angle grinder to cut the crush cans out of the original bumper steel. Not terribly difficult. I suppose you don't have to do so. You can probably mount the two plastic bumper extensions to the ARB bumper without them. I believe the purpose of the crush cans is to absorb some of the...
  6. Is this amount of rust behind the wheel normal?

This is what helps clean things up that I have used: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DDTZRZQN?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
  7. Kansas (5) KO2 Tires and Rubicon Wheels - Takeoffs from '23 Rubicon

Kansas City metro area. Take-offs from my 2023 Rubicon. Approximately 10k miles. No TPMS. Stored in garage/out of weather. $1000
  8. Still trying to chase wind hiss noise inside.

Not sure about the holes. One way to chase a noise is to use some painter's tape. Try putting some over the holes and then driving. I also has a leaky front window seal. I systematically taped a couple of feet at a time on the window/seal edge and drove it until I narrowed down the section...
  9. SNOW and ICE tires

I have the wildpeaks on my gladiator. The ATW3 variety. I hear those are not available anymore and they have a new version - ATW4. Think the ATW4 is more skewed towards offroad performance than the ATW3 is/was. I always felt like the wildpeaks did a good job for what you are describing...
  10. MINIMUM Tools To Have On The Trail

My wife's list: Satellite connected phone to call me and tell me where she left it!
  11. Cracked windshield on new rental

Sometimes a small chip near the edge of the glass can spawn a large crack like you describe when the temperature changes, etc. Look at the very to edge by the black box and see if you can find a divot/chip where a rock or something previously hit. I had such a chip - at the bottom of the...
  12. Coil Spring Advice for Overlanding

My understanding is the AEV kits are geared toward overlanding and not rockcrawling. I've had them on several jeeps and they do have some tolerence to adding weight without sagging too much as I believe they were designed (dual rate) for that. Can't speak to the HD version of their springs. I...
  13. First time towing with Gladiator, help please.

One thing to keep in mind is that the extent of the drop needed will be somewhat dependent on the loading of the trailer as well as the weight of what you may also have in the bed of the truck. You definately don't want an "angle up" on the trailer as it attaches to the hitch. That is a...
  14. My Gladiator

It's all tradeoffs and a function of how much you would like to spend. Anything you do beyond keeping it stock will most likely have an impact on gas mileage: bigger and heavier tires equal additional rotational rolling resistance and power needed to maintain the same response as before...
  15. Winch disconnect switch question

This is what I installed. Pricey but beefy. 500amp continous at 12v: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C5P74S47?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
  16. Jeep wants your input as to what powerplant to add

All very interesting, and I really do wish they would listen. Unfortunately, I think it is all a numbers game: What sort of content (including the engines) will appeal to the most people and sell the most number of vehicles? I seem to think the 392 wrangler exists not because of a public...
  17. SOLVED - Help with ABS issue - anyone had to something similar. Looking for ideas

Glad to see you solved the the problem! Looks like the same issue I had. I am pretty sure I caused mine on a particularly tough part of Top of the World in MOAB. Did alot of dragging and then a big rut, then the lights come on. I probably overstretched something!
  18. Whats is your opinion the jeeps engine stop start system?

No meaningful benefit beyond helping the manufacturer meet EPA corporate average mpg targets. Added complexities and points of failures for the consumer.
  19. Dealer said they changed my oil but now my oil life indicator is on

Normally, should be easy to tell if you check right after the oil change. If the oil looks "clean" and is still somewhat translucent, I think you are ok and they just forgot to reset the oil-life. If they forgot to to do that, you would recieve the emails as the computer would be telling the...
  20. Question about torquing rear control arms and other suspension

I did the jack stand trick as suggested. My biggest issue was not having enough leverage in the confines of working under the vehicle in the driveway. I bought a set of extended length ratcheting box wrenches. I wasn't able to use a torque wrench on everything, but I am sure things are tight...
