I feel your pain. I also have an EcoDiesel with a similar oil leak.
This is our first Jeep and I like the vehicle. I can even pardon a problem as long as it gets fixed, but the dealer service has been pathetic. I've got the dye in ours now and they had to spray some type of white deodorant...
I haven't had any bottoming out issues. I made sure I bought an EcoDiesel Rubicon takeoff suspension. There ARE different part number for the EcoDiesel and gas front springs on the Rubicon model.
Thanks for the help.
I have a 2021 JTR EcoDiesel Sport and was able to find an JTR Rubicon EcoDiesel takeoff at a good deal.
I don't know what kind of suspension upgrade the previous owner did, but he gave me a lot of the extra suspension "giblets" he replaced on his. Sway bar links, control arms, drag link, and...
Uggghh... Hate to hear that. I follow your YouTube channel and frequent the "lake" that you camp at sometimes. Even watched you for some tractor advice. Lol
I can deal with having an issue. Just fix it and let's keep moving. My Jeep service experience has been horrible though. Toyota doesn't...
I have a 2021 Eco-Diesel Sport and was able to pick up a Eco-Diesel Rubicon take off suspension with shocks, springs and a lot of the suspension components at a great price. (They guy gave me all of the suspension pieces that came off of his and even the steering stabilizer.)
I currently run a...
As for the worst part of owning a Jeep, my biggest let down has been service.
This is my first Jeep and I'm accustomed to a very customer centric manufacturer for all my other vehicles.
My career works primarily with manufacturing and production facilities.
The biggest problem I hear of is getting the people to work the shifts. They may have the demand and supplies, but they can't hire enough people to fill the jobs.
It seems that EVERY plant has a "Now Hiring" sign out front.
I feel ya and who knows what will happen next if it goes through "open heart surgery".
The EcoDiesel is a great fit for what we needed and I was fine with the $4k premium for that engine, but accepting a constant stain in the garage is just disappointing.
We haven't taken it back yet. My wife needs the truck and can't drop it off for a day now. She is going out of town in about a month and I'll probably drop it then. Until then, I'll just keep a pile of Oil Dri under the spot.
I started noticing small drops in the garage at 1,100 miles, but decided to wait until I took it in for its first oil change at 5k miles to address the issue. It was a small leak and I have been keeping an eye on it. (It did drop a quart over the 5k miles and I topped it off with the proper...
You and I both put value on different parts of the product then.
I don't need/value a front locker, but you may. The convenience advertised in the Jeep Wave program was attractive to me though. That is part of what I bought, just like a locker to others.
I may be using an extreme comparison...
I feel you.
When I was told about the program in February 2021 during the purchase pricess, I should not have been sold on this being a benefit of the program. Offer me a 4th oil change under the program because you can't do the loaner. Tell me up front that dealer participation is optional...
To answer or clarify for a few responses.
A SAME DAY LOANER is part of the Jeep Wave program. (Not an overnight thing.)
An oil change CAN be done in 30 minutes, but your vehicle sitting in line takes longer than 30 minutes. First come first serve. The Service Advisor recommended my wife...
Our 2021 Gladiator Sport EcoDiesel is our first Jeep. Honestly, I've been a Toyota fan for a long time, but Toyota didn't have a convertible diesel that looked this frickin' cool. Sold the Harley and dove in on a Gladiator.
During the sales process, I did like that the Jeep Wave program would...
