My Gladiator is the test vehicle for 303 Graphene as well as several other products I've used on it and removed. Very much a test vehicle for different products. Totally get that.
The first time I decided to apply CSL myself was on the Fiesta. I washed it, washed it with decon soap, used the Nanoscrub, dried it, put it up on the QuickJack and then went to work correcting the paint.
Did a full 2 stage correction. I bought the car new and it's a 2017. It had sat for...
Orange peel isn't going away with paint correction. The cost of leveling paint is even more expensive, more time consuming, and from my perspective requires significant expertise. The amount of clearcoat removal would not be worth it to me.
I really like the results of GTechniq. The...
My GT4, Fiesta ST, my mom's Honda Odyssey, my sister-in-laws Lexus and my girlfriends Cayman T are all coated using CSL and Exo.
I'll do the Gladiator next year.
Applying CSL and Exo are not difficult. Prepping the paint is the more challenging component. And if you don't have all the...
Limit all of these things. It won't make the build any faster and makes the wait worse.
Take up a book series. Jack Carr has the James Reece series. That will help you pass the time in a much more enjoyable way. And it will save your wallet the strain of buying accessories before the truck...
It depends on what you want it to do. It works, as advertised. You just have to determine if you want what it can do. I did JScan and, if I were doing it again, I'd likely have bought a Tazer and left it plugged in versus JScan.
However, with the OBDII adapter I have, I can use JScan on...
I like the smaller greenhouse of the Gladiator, so I consider that a pro of the smaller truck. I like that the roof comes off. Even popping the freedom panels is easy enough. Nevermind the doors. Plus, as you say, getting it around in tight spaces is easier than a full size.
I shopped Raptors...
I change my own oil in my Fiesta and Gladiator. I run Motul in both. The Fiesta gets tracked and driven hard and sees far more extreme temps. The Gladiator sees casual use.
All my vehicles are started and driven very gently until oil temps are up to normal. Quality filters used in both.
Oil...
Installed the Quadratec Dead Pedal today. Not sure how I feel about it. I expected it to be more solid, so we will see how it holds up. Not sure I like the fit around the WeatherTech mat either.
Also used Jscan to flip my ESS setting back to Activated so Remote Start would work again. Much...
I agree with you, that those lack of options are possible. They are also the minority. Where as, in years past, the options were an automatic and A/C.
The larger point was the buyer pool. It was, obviously, considerably smaller. Less Jeeps on the road and the majority were manuals, soft tops...
The first Jeep I owned was a 1991 Wrangler Sahara. Then a 1994 Wrangler Sahara. I bought a Jeep because I grew up riding in my brothers 2 CJ7s. The tops were all a pain to lower or remove. There was no air conditioning. Almost all were manuals. They lacked features and refinement. And you knew...
Some great advice here in the thread. To summarize and prioritize:
- Pull the carpet. Dry insulation side up. You may also vacuum first with a WetVac.
- You may also shampoo, steam, or use a carpet extractor to
- Clean the seats with an interior cleaner/leather cleaner (if leather)
- Clean...
I will ignore the attempt at making a point around Jeeps...
What really left me confused was your statement about Porsche. AWD isn't the norm for a Porsche sports car. The 911 base, S, GTS, GT3, GT3 RS, GT2 RS, Caymans, Boxsters, Panameras and Taycans are all RWD. Some have AWD options and the...
Received my Chief Steamer 125 today. After assembly and some test cleaning, I cleaned the Gladiator interior and then conditioned the leather. Very effective, low effort, way to deep clean the seats for sure.
Yep. I had a rock stock in one of my GT4 wheels. Scored almost the entire barrel and matched scratching on the caliper. Never heard a thing.
The wheels weights are also a good call and possibility.
I'm glad you confirmed your pads are good to go.
I doubt your caliper is making contact with the barrel of the wheel. While the gap between them is small, there are many examples of less gap in wheel/brake setups. My GT4 is closer to the wheel than the Gladiator and it doesn't touch.
What it...
Why would this be a sticky? Get an OEM replacement glass and it's OEM. Several threads and discussions on windshield replacement.
You can always go Gorilla glass if you're worried about happening again or install something like ClearPlex on the windshield.
