It's cool they asked. Nice photo. Personally I wouldn't give a conditional yes when they have already stated they will not compensate. If it's frustrating that you will not be compensated, politely decline. Otherwise, go for it. Cool story and who knows what might come from it.
Very nice. I'm sure it's great having everything reunited! I had an AP2 S2000 and it was such a great car. Awesome to be able to hold onto yours and some great driving on the West coast to utilize it.
Not sure what his endgame is, but the dude in Down2Mob is building his Gladiator. He had a built Ram before and was living out of the Gladiator with a RTT. I'm curious to see how his build looks.
You made the right decision in filing the dispute with American Express. Certainly being frustrated is warranted. And I admire not trashing the company.
Why the poll then? If you make the comment you don't want the product on the rig, then why spin up a thread looking for advice?
It is. But it was also close to the exact post I made in this thread.
Glad to find some others that know the reality, though. And absolutely that almost no one sets them up right and has entirely too much reliance on electronic nannies.
I don't lock mine because I don't leave them. Roof racks and hitch racks typically have cables installed for locking the bike to the rack and Thule makes standalone 6' cables.
You could also grab something like the linked cable and use whatever lock you prefer. Run the cable through the wheels...
Years ago I read an article on setting up your mirrors to eliminate blind spots. I immediately went out, adjusted them, and have been setting my mirrors this way since.
Most people bring their side mirrors too far in. So they can see the corners of the vehicle. This results in overlap of the...
Surprised to hear the 3.6 benefits from it as well. They haven't moved to Direct Injection, as I understood it.
I don't run catch cans on any of my vehicles, but it seems like those that do find considerable oil in them.
Are you talking tires and wheels OP or just tires?
And I said the same thing as several of you. I'll keep the 33s until they wear out. No point replacing good rubber. Until I wanted the lift and Methods. Soooo... 12k miles or so later, the 33s are in storage on the LE wheels.
I do debate...
Love it. I had a 2004 that I traded for a WRX. The S2K is such a great platform.
I currently have a GT4 that I will never let go barring something crazy. I've made the mistakes before and won't do it again of letting go of a great car.
I've also bought a few I thought I would love and...
Mods for the Fiesta... I have the Gladiator essentially done. Nothing else planned for it, other than a trailer to tow the bikes.
The Fiesta is getting coilovers and an intercooler today. It's basically my daily/track car. So most of the modifications go to it with track performance in mind...
Aren't the factory Rubi wheels 7.5" and people have no problem running 35s on them.
TFLs steel wheels are a set of OEM spares. I'm sure if someone wants to pull that together it shouldn't be too hard. When I went to Methods I did all 5, so my spare is I'm storage.
Everyone thinks they are the best driver out there. For all your logic, that person going around has logic of their own.
I drive fast, most of the time. I accelerate rapidly. At least in the FiST and GT4. The Gladiator doesn't really do rapid. I like to be at the front. With traffic behind me...
It depends on the work and the cost. I do all the oil changes, brakes, tire rotations, and modifications. For the lift and Steer Smarts install, I took it to my brother and we did it.
Warranty goes to dealer. Had the drive shaft TSB/recall early on and I need to setup an appt for the steering...
First bike was a Ducati Monster 796 and interestingly didn't fall in love with it. Then I bought a Triumph Thruxton and absolutely fell in love. It was slower. The brakes weren't great. But man, I loved that bike.
Added a BMW R1200GSA and it light years ahead of anything else I had ridden...
Plasti-Dip is great. Especially in an area that doesn't have friction. On one of my bikes, I did black Plasti-Dip on some parts to see how I would like it. It was in an area where my legs moved and that called it to peel up. Peeled it off and had them powder coated.
Other areas, no issue. It...
