This was kind of easy for me. I did want a Sport with Maxtow, but that quickly changed when I saw that not many dealers had this option and a special order could not get me the vehicle fast enough.
A few important add-ons like lockers, disconnect swaybar, hi-clearance fenders, etc; easily...
Smittybilt XCR Gen 2 front bumper
I wanted a full-width bumper ( I had selected the Quadradic's Brute full-width; but it was placed on a 2.5 month b/o) for deer strike protection, but I also have a budget and when combined with Covid-19 delivery issues, I choose this Smittybuilt.
My other...
Nice video!
I was just thinking today that I might want some new speakers (just speakers, nothing fancy).
I can appreciate your desire to change all that out; but I'm not sure I care enough to go through all of that work. LOL
Had the switches installed yesterday at the dealership.
I don't have anything installed to test the connections yet; but the switches light up when pressed. When you go into the radio menu, Aux Switches are there, I can program them without issue.
I hope to get some items installed soon to...
My MOLLE panels arrived and so did the Swing Box.
I have to say, JCR gave a 2-3 weeks turn around time and all was here in under 2 weeks!
Initial Impressions:
- The quality of the JCR stuff is really nice quality stuff. Goes together really easy too.
- I like the Swing box idea; installed...
Question, I keep reading about blown fuses in the install; are people not disconnecting both batteries? It's my understanding that you have to disconnect the at least the NEG. terminal of the 2nd battery from the actual main battery NEG. terminal to drop all current from the system.
Oh, I get it. I used to be a service writer myself, so I get a trained tech has both the tools and training to do this faster than what the service manual says the time to replace/install takes.
I also know wiring (I used to work/mod VW's) LOL
IMO, it's worth spending $350-450 labor &...

Yeah, 1 gear seemed to make a difference for sure, RPMS aside.
For every gear down it seems to drop 1.5 ish mpg.
That said, I often used the e-shift crossing the country with the trailer. The truck would roll about 2800-3000 rpms in 5 or 6th gear in full-auto, using the manual I could push it...
It's either this or return the switches. I'm fully capable mechanically to do it (used to customize VW's and motorcycles), but I don't want my work questioned if they don't work correctly, then having to pay someone to "make it right" only to find out it wasn't the issue. LOL
PS: The local...
Because of this thread, I asked my local dealership about installing these today.
They told me 3.5hrs; sounds like a steal to drop it off and just have it work.
Hah, we were one of them! LOL
1st time off-road with the Gladiator, 2WD or 4H and I ran through the deepest sand I could find without being a dumbass. Although, I did use the OffRoad+ to see what it was.
Fuel Mileage wise: We drove across country with trailer and avg. 12mpg.
Now that we're...
Woot! The bed got Line-X'd today.
I'm always a little nervous about having "permanent" mods done to something, especially whenI don't have any real experience with the company; but I must say, Line-X of Fredericksburg was amazing.
Everyone was nothing short of nice, the spray in looks amazing...
The sill plates are easy. Just a solid cleaning with the provided wipes is good. If possible, let the plates sit in the sun a bit, they warm up and stick easier.
I was lazy and didnt use a rule to lay them out, but if you look closely (at least up front), the sills have a slight stepped...
