Yeah, I had not choice; I live in the mountains with almost daily snow & rain, so, My Jeep started to smell like a gym locker after 4 months of water entry, now moving towards month 7.
I didn't know about the Raptor, but yes, the Taco has them because the bed is a composite bed and because of this, inherently flexy. I'm sure that to some extent all beds flex, but it's not a worry on my part.
PS: I think I'll put the whole Jeep back to factory tomorrow and drop it off at the dealership. Since we're heading out via a new car we just purchased, it can sit there for months until it's fixed or I might pull it and trade it. It's not why I pay $600 a month.

My 1st Contact with the dealership was Oct. 20, 2020 about the rear leak.
A week later, the issue was confirmed by the dealership.
I heard nothing for almost 2 months, in the meantime, my locker light came on.
It's been on/off randomly since.
Dealership won't even look at the locker light...
I just reported it to Jeep myself.
Honestly, this Gladi is my first Jeep and I purposely test drove it on the highway for about 30 minutes before buying to avoid the issue with the Jeep I chose.
I've had only a handful of incidence where the Jeep pretty much felt like the opposing front and...
I've been running 37" General Grabber ATx tires since 14k. I now have 26k on the clock and the truck is less than a year old.
It seems a lot of people hyperfocus on a lot of theory and physics these days.
Don't get me wrong, I've spend 30 years modding and building VW's, Audis, and the like. I...
We installed SUMOs on our built out Promaster 159E. We chose the Yellows because our van was running at almost max load.
The Sumos did the job. They added support to the rear and the kept the front from swaying and diving in turns.
That said; there is a rebound effect when using this type of...
I'm the same going on about 17k miles now.
Crosscountry trips to off-roading (although more moderate than wild) at Bulldog Canyon, Broken Arrow Trail, locally here in WV, not issues. Maybe a few rubs; even with fully disconnected sway bars an truck loaded with 1/2 rack and RTT.
Broken Arrow...
I paid about that for the switches and install. I didn't wanna do it myself because I simply didn't have the time to pull apart my whole dash.
Dealer was about 3 hrs, $330 +/- and the switches about the same.
Personally, I am and have been 100% DIY my whole life (mostly because I've worked at...
Yeah, that definitely appears to have less tension on a side-to-side.
I know when I installed the top rails to the roll bar, it was a tight fit (meaning required slight pressure) during install.
What has Bestop said about it?
Installed a Bestop SunRider today.
I finally broke down and made the switch to a 1/2 soft top because living in a mountainous rain forest makes it too unpredictable to leave the house with the Freedom panels out.
Install was really easy, fit is great. And its pretty quiet when open too. Just...
As someone who's done 26k in 10 months in the JTR including a Coast to Coaster; East coast to Az and about 5 trips from Va to FL, I can say Ram all day long.
That is not to say I regret my JTR for a minute. It's comfy and drives well; but for family trips on the highway, I'd be in the Rebel...
I ran my 37's on the stock JTR for about 2k miles; Living in the mountains of WV and traveling too.
I didn't think it as an issue unit I added the Tazer and it was night & day IMO. First, my speedo was usually off by 1.5-5mph (it was not a constant), so that's weird.
The shifting was much...
If it needs to sit, sink about $100 into a few items:
-Add quality fuel stabilizer to your tank
-Fill gas tank
-Do not disconnect the battery, install a battery tender; even a solar tender is great!
I've used them for years and let my old truck sit for 2-3months at time w/o issue. Even in the...
I have 26k on the clock in 10 months now, w/several different setups.
I think people forget that there are so many different fuel mixtures around the country and those mixtures have a huge impact.
We've done several trips that included a full Coast to Coast.
disclaimer:
- Never initially...
I'm new to Jeep and to trucks in general and I'm curious about something. I've read over and over for the last 20 years that pickups are designed to keep "better" fuel mileage with the bed and gate up.
How does the JT do with the SRI installed?
I know with just my tonneau cover it's close to...
