I have the exact same leak. Dealer looked at it, ordered new seals, and I'm just waiting till my schedule slows down a bit to take it in. I'm super reluctant because I don't want some kid "learning" how to do this repair on my Jeep. I don't think it's a super common issue, but they seemed...
Holy crap, that's a nightmare... I'd stray away from the dealership, if it's possible for you to do so. Glad you found the issue. Enjoy your trip to Moab!
That's the first picture I've seen with that rack on a soft top. I'm digging it! I talked to one of your reps at JeepFest, and I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of canopy cover you guys come up with.
I ran 35's on my Sport (w/Max Tow) for quite a while before lifting it. If you're not going to be rock crawling, I'd say that should be fine. Then maybe add a spacer lift or 2" Mopar lift for a little extra height.
Bedrug (probably won't be here until the end of October).
JKS overhead MOLLE panel.
Barnes Pritchett Canyon bumper.
200Ah LiFe battery for our Overlanding Trailer project.
I love it. Classic for me, please, as I already have my tailgate wrapped and Hauk lettering, which I think it would surround perfectly. Please keep us updated.
Edit: I just took another look at the Classic style, and I just noticed that it appears to be one big piece that covers the inlaid...
I liked the EVO's, but I haul and tow alot, so the Clayton's are a better fit for me. The EVO's are softer, and definitely seem to be a little more "flexy" than the Clayton's. Had I paired them with a set of adjustable Falcon shocks, I have no doubt I probably would have kept them on.
I developed an oil leak near my rear main and when I took it in to the dealer to have it looked at, the first thing the service advisor did was open the hood and look on top of the engine to see if the oil cooler/filter housing was cracked/leaking. He said these engines are known for that to...
Wow, I would love to see that fortress!! And I must have misread your earlier posts. I thought I saw you were thinking about an RTT. My bad. Anywho. I love the lights on your awning. I have the same one, and might do the same thing as soon as I get it installed on my trailer.
I was going to suggest that you should get an awning that does not open up under your tent, if your getting one that opens like a clam shell. I went passenger side because my RTT open towards the driver's side. Just my $.02
I can tell you first hand that it is worth it (at least it was to me). It is definitely what Jeeps should come with from factory. Just keep an eye out for sales or promotions from vendors or Armorlite themselves.
Oh man, this one was on my list of possibilities. I have 35's, but with 3" of lift... I do like to flex it out every chance I get, so maybe I need to look at midwidth bumpers, rather than full width. Thanks for the heads up.
That's friggin awesome. I love those 270 awnings. I can't wait to get mine together. I've been super busy with house projects/storm repairs, so I haven't had much time at all to work on mine. I got my hot water heater the other day, and am super stoked to get it installed. I might have to start...
What about finding a set of doors in the junkyard with PW and PL? That'll get you that hardware, then you just have to figure out the harnesses inside the Jeep.
