Finally got the game-changer delivered to my house. Upon inspection we were missing the rear shocks. Metalcloak is overnighting the shocks. In the meantime we put the front part of the lift on. Here’s a photo.
Was finally able to put the 38s on after a bit more trimming, lift coming next week. It drives like the 38s aren’t even there. Plenty of power.i took the freedom panels and front doors off and drive a pretty hilly route. Averaged about 19mpg with the computer still uncorrected for the wheel...
Cut the rubi rails 1 inch on each side, applied the 3M pro on the hood, and put some haloween decorations on it for a Halloween run with the San Diego Jeep club
Got the opportunity after work to go to my dads house to get a hand on splitting the fenders and installing the metal cloak fender bracket and led. Here’s some photos. I like the way it’s coming together with the bumper
Happy to report that it came with the end caps as well, I took them off before the photo. I think this is a rejected part from the factory as there are small things like scuff or the badge not being straight. Here’s a link for it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/334115220898
Got some time today to mount up the new steel bumper I got off eBay, had to open up the mounting holes on the led lights so they would mount into the bumper. Came with winch plate and Bull bar for $480 off eBay.
Yesterday after work I got to messing with a couple different paint protection films. The two pictured are vivid industries and 3M Scotchgard. The 3M is a much better product. I’m awaiting the 3M Scotchgard pro, I will be applying that in place of the vivid when It shows up
I did get to do it again! I went from a fully loaded gasser rubi to a more slimmed down diesel rubi. I changed the color from black to blue and now I kinda miss having the safety groups and trail rail system. I will be adding the proximity door handles soon though
Got the tires mounted up on the wheels today, and ordered the lift. I’ve attached some photos for comparisons of the 38’s vs the stock 33 and 37’s and 40’s. Let me know what you guys think!
