going to sound silly but it sounds like you need a catch can, were you white smoking before it went into limp mode? If so it was oil getting into the valves. I have not seen limp mode but I have had mine at too steep an angle and a catch can fixed it.

Heh you think these ticks are bad just be glad these arent direct injected. Those injectors sound like trashed lifters all day long, and my hats off to the good mechanics that can diagnose bad valve train over direct port injection ticking.

You should invest in a bottle jack. I have an 8 ton Harbor freight bottle jack, it screws out and then jacks up even enough for my 37's under the spring perchs or pumpkins depending on what I am trying to do. It's near it's runout for sure but it does allow me to install fully inflated tires...
