Smlobx that sounds like an awesome time. Alu-Cab has some of their products on OK4WD here and their USA social media page here. Awesome products and I hope to see some stuff for the JT from them.
Another view of the Toledo plant Gladiator posted by the Toledo Blade. Article can be found here with a great video of plant workers describing the Gladiator and many have worked for Jeep for decades. Very cool!
@Vegas_Sirk bingo, I couldn't agree more. I was eagerly awaiting the AEV JL products to be revealed and I think they did a fantastic job overall. I am pretty much sold on them for the JT. Your base camp points are exactly the same as mine although for different reasons. Really excited to start...
Standard Sport/Sport S offering for the JL/JLU and now the JT. Definitely resembles the JK euro bumpers but they are putting them on domestic Jeep's as well.
This was one of things I did not understand the engineers overlooked when designing the JL. I was definitely happy to see they addressed it. Thanks for sharing with everyone!
Might be a Max Tow Sport/Sport S given the flares (two piece mold-in-color) and market lights. Looks great lifted and I would guess 37" KM3's on Mopar beadlocks.
Absolutely, more than glad to help answer your question. I look forward to taking my kids on their first adventure come next spring once I get my Gladiator. They are still quite young but are now always pointing out and yelling "JEEP!" when we see one. Proud papa here.
Generally, we have seen black wheels on Jeep's test vehicles and the Gladiator that is wearing those wheels on the left is likely a pre-production model. These wheels often make their way into a production environment like the JLU Moab being equipped with gloss black versions of the machined...
Billet Silver Gladiator has color matched top and flares like an Overland but all the other outward signs of a Sport S (wheel style, Sport grill). Not trying to read too much into it as it is likely leftovers from the bagged test mules we were seeing, but it would be a welcomed change if they...
Good question. I suppose the answer likely has something to do with whether they are offered as OE standard equipment from the factory versus an aftermarket part you can purchase from Jeep. I would assume if the vehicle is delivered with them from the factory they have to meet certain strength...
I fell in love with the Africa concept when they revealed it and I was really hoping they would have had a Wrangler variant when the JL was released. Probably one of the coolest concepts they have done.
I won't fall into the Overlander category although I do find myself infatuated with the idea of long distance vehicle based adventure and really wish I could do something like those guys and gals do. We used to do this years ago and just referred to it as car camping but it doesn't have the same...
Depending on the color they became available from mid to late February up to late April for the JL if I am remembering correctly. Not sure how that will correlate with the Gladiator's order banks opening and deliveries starting but I would guess we have five to six months before all the colors...
I actually did the same thing messing around in Photoshop and I much prefer the look of adjusted rear door. As much as I prefer the look I think back to my Comanche days where trying to find replacement parts for Comanche specific items that shared no similarity with the XJ's was a complete...
I believe the hub bore on the new JL wheels are slightly different than the JK/XK/WK wheels of the past, but it shouldn't be an issue. Plenty of people have run them on the JL's before AEV started producing them for the new platform so the Gladiator should be nearly identical. The JK ones have a...
Hello Lanyard and welcome to the forum! I will answer your post in a series of answers from what we know so far from the detailed spec sheets we have received and correlating the packages to its JL counterpart.
The Max Tow package for the Gladiator upgrades several key components over the base...
This will be on my list of first purchases for the hardtop. I have seen it in person on Wrangler's and it is a great addition. Thank you for sharing Cassie!
