I've had the little vermin in mine as well, but I was doors off when it happened so I assumed that was the entry point. I could see their little footprints in the dust and they must have walked every inch of the interior.
I prefer snap traps to glue boards, but peanut butter is the ultimate...
When you purchase ANY vehicle, you are playing Russian roulette. Some brands or models may have more bullets in the gun, but they all have problems. You can go on any forum, for any vehicle and find multiple "XYZ vehicle sucks" threads. Those will inevitably have the "for $xx,xxx.00 dollars"...
I was thinking the same thing! If you don't have a break controller, you have nothing to prevent your brakes from breaking and that could be a dangerous situation. ;)
just as a follow up for anyone interested, I just spent 10 days with no doors in the desert in extreme dust and couldn’t be happier with this flooring system. After a much easier than carpet cleanup, they look brand new. As stated above, these should be offered as an OEM product. Very good quality.
Thanks for the heads up. I've followed him for some time. First thing I thought when the Gladiator came out was it would be a perfect choice for him. He's been seeking more load capacity in a Jeep for quite a while.
I'm ready to do this label removal as well. After spending too much time cleaning up the goo that drips from the side latches, I was hesitant to attempt this one.
Does it come off clean, or did you have to clean up adhesive residue?
Are those proper "wavian" cans? If so, you should have no problem hauling them in that position with zero leakage (assuming no dry rotted seals).
Additionally, there is zero problem finding a "funnel" as the Wavian spout is a secure fit that is fast pouring and drip free.
Wavian makes the best...
I did not. I tried again this morning on a computer with Chrome and couldn't even get to the "m" section to make choices or place an order.
Yesterday, I did check the cart per @Kevin_D 's suggestion and the only item showing was the micro key holder that I added on.
After 5 months and 37...
You should be just fine. That's really a smart way to go, you don't have a wide tire hanging down in the spare location, but have the same diameter tire for emergency use. I assume you either have Nitto Trail Grapplers or Toyo Open Country, as those are the only two that make skinny 35's on 17"...
@crdouglass3
I tried to order a model M 3 button black smooth with micro keyholder. Nothing happens when I hit the "pre-order" button. I'm assume you are still getting things set up, but wanted to bring it to your attention just in case.
Replaced the nasty carpets:
With nice, easy to clean vinyl:
It was a dust bomb pulling the carpet out!
Install was straight forward. Fit and finish were good until I got to the rear that goes around the back seat belts, where I had to trim a bit. The plastic kick panels didn't fare too...
I do know what you mean, just being a smart aleck! I don't want it to sound, ride, or handle like a $70k 'normal' vehicle!!
Looking forward to getting my Armorlite installed!
Dear Stellantis,
Your Gladiator product has a software/coding issue that causes the HVAC system to work in a manner that no logical person can accept as normal or working properly. 18 pages of discussion on an enthusiast forum spells it out. Please hire somebody that understands PID loop...
I didn't spend the time to read all 18 pages of this, but count me as somebody who thinks the HVAC isn't working as it should. If you have it in manual and set to 65 and it's blowing like a volcano, you bring the temp to "low" for 1 second, then bring it back to 65 and it's now blowing much...
That's good to hear.
Unfortunately, I suspect when I'm sitting in my Gladiator I'm sitting in a close to $70k vehicle... ;) I won't start adding up the modifications, but $550 to replace the carpet with vinyl doesn't help.
