I understand it is not the best option but it would be nice if Sunrider offered some color options. Right now the only option is black and color matched for the hard top. I am looking to have a contrasting color to the Sarge green, along the lines of a saddle brown I saw on a motorcycle last...
Does anyone know if it feasible to paint, dye etc the Sunrider soft top? I am thinking of painting the hard top section but would like to the Sunrider match.
Easy fix for not hearing the engine, cut out the suitcase muffler. I have bad hearing and it was one of the fist mods I made. Front and read resonators are still there, just straight piped the muffler, nice sound, no drone and can hear it.
I have 2 daughters, their first vehicles WILL be manuals. Not that it seems like it will matter long term the way things are going, but if S!?!t hits the fan, the only vehicles still drivable will be the manuals. Just my silly thoughts.
We are lucky though that Jeep offers the M/T in all trim...
Okay, so what company will be the first to come up with a kit to get rid of the AUX battery and make this simple?? I checked out the ESS jump starting article, WTH!!??
Not sure where or want made someone think rubbery? One of the best felling, stock shifters, (Short Shift Kit not needed). Better shift feel then the Tacoma with the MadDog Racing SSKit IMO, (What gear am I in?), just a tic better then my 03 WRX but defiantly not better then the older BMW's...
LOVE mine, BUT the clutch sucks. Fly wheel is way too light for a truck, it's like a track car and can be stupid easy to stall. This will be my fisrt major upgrade once I can afford it. Center Force clutch. Another forum member did a write up, before and after.
Shifts fantastic, not the best...
Rear axle of the older HiLux is the same as the 60/70 series Land Cruisers. They are Toyota made, stupid thick and tough. The Hilux like the original Toyota truck, pre tacoma, used to have solid front axles as well but for a very short time. HiLux and Tacoma share very little, even to today...
That is the bracket kit I bought on Amazon to use the factory Rubicon LED fogs in the HD bumper. LED fogs were pulled out of my stock plastic bumper.
Again, been a year and no shake, hasn't lossened, no issues.
I don't really care but I did take a quick look at MyMoparParts.com and they list the same bumper for the Sport models as the Rubicon, factory art number:
Front Bumper - Mopar (68293891AB)
2018-2020 Jeep Wrangler - 68293891ab
Understood. I ordered the standard JTR plastic bumper, the metal one was ordered just before the truck showed up at the dealer after being built.
The adapter I bought on Amazon let me use the stock LED fogs in the HD metal bumper.
Not sure what you are saying. The Rubicon and the sport fog lights, halogen or LED are the same and use the same front bumper too, stock factory plastic. Rear on the Rubicon is metal. Only change between sport and rubicon is the skid plate and red hooks versus black.
You will need an adapter...
Not sure on the skid plate. My dealer ordered the one for it. I can’t see it being that far off. I don’t know of a winch hole cover either. Hoop was a factory option too, I have seen it on the Mopar part sites listed with the bumper. I like it because it is different then the 3 piece.
I have that bumper on my JTR. Ordered it separately when I picked up my truck. I asked for the metal factory bumper not realizing they offered 2 different versions.
Any ways, it is a very heavy duty bumper. I was able to re-use the factory LED fogs with an adapter I bought from Amazon. Worked...
