  1. How do you deal with a wet tent?

Not fully a tent, but we do run a hybrid camper, hard body main and fold out beds. Seems every time we go camping it rains the last day. When we get home we open it to dry out. Even on long trips, open and closing while wet, no issues, just need to dry it out when you can. Recommend Scotch Guard...
  2. Thoughts from a new Gladiator (and Jeep) owner after a 1100 mile drive home.

I run GMAp on my phone and either Apple Music, Pandora or Spotify via Car Play. I forgot what I did to make it work. For my phone mount, I have the RAM mount Tough Track with the X Grip. I have been using the RAM products for years. Rock solid, lots of options. I have the X Grip on my tractor...
  3. Silverado EV promises 20k towing capability + mid gate design

Cool, they are binging back the Avalanche. Hope it has as much swaths of plastic as the original! Not! The technology is neat, looks cool, not my thing. Would hate to be in one and stuck on 95 down south this past week. Also, in New England, where are all the new power plants being built to...
  4. Making a snorkel fit for the Mojave

Sorry I did not know the Mojave had a different cowl. Disused that on RR website this morning. Maybe reach out to them? It is a very slick setup and works very well. Again no hood cutting or other non-reversible mods needed is the main reason for me.
  5. Making a snorkel fit for the Mojave

Rugged Ridge High & Low Mount. No hood cutting the hood for this one! I ran the high mount since spring and switched to the low for winter. I have had zero issues with mine. I also painted mine body color with some black highlights. Minor draw back, to access the battery or factory Aux switch...
  6. I was in denial but after driving up to Sacramento...

Just did a quick look for re-gear, who would you recommend getting them from? Does it matter if mine is a Rubi with the 6 M/T?
  7. So what did you name your Gladiator?

Sean the Jeep or Green Sheep as in "Where is the Green Sheep?" Kids loved those books growing up.
  8. Premium subwoofer upgrade.

Nice work! I am looking to build a single sub enclosure for the JL 12W3 on one side and an amp rack on the other side to hold two Xtants. I need my storage under the seats. Do you know the depth behind the seats?
  9. 6 Speed Manual Regrets?

Thanks for the review of the CFC. I love my manual but hate the clutch! I think I will be adding this before a lift for the JTR. Turning off the hill assist helped prevent the random take-off stalling but still not 100%. I always thought the issue was too light of a flywheel, engages like some...
  10. Connecticut Wanted: Winch Mount for Factory Metal Bumper

Thank you but I already purchased one.
  11. Am I the only one who thinks Jeep should’ve included an in dash CD player?

Wife and I had a "listening room" in the attic till about 4 years ago. Choice between Boston Acoustics A series, 1960's vintage Sansui and some base model B&W's speakers. Throw on a record, a couple of adult beverages and bring out the tree's. Was a lot of fun, no phones, no TV, just talking an...
  12. Am I the only one who thinks Jeep should’ve included an in dash CD player?

While we are at it, how about: Mini-Disc DAT tape Cassette tape 8 Track (Yes some one mentioned it already.) Zune (Though I hate MS, it was out there.) Reel to Reel!! (That would look so retro on the dash!!) I knew a car audio guy that took apart a portable DVD player, before any mobile ones...
  13. What was your ride before the JT?

    87 Land Cruiser
  14. Jeeps Parking Next To Jeeps

Vernon, CT. Was about to park in a different spot and then saw the JL, my kid thinks I am nuts because I was so excited.
  15. vs FJ45

The one in the pic is a South American truck only, Bandito I think. Toyota actually didn't make those, they licensed the rights to make them in SA. They came with a Mercedes small diesel, 3 or 4 cyl. I was contemplating importing a 70 PU before going with a Gladiator. Perfect condition $$$$$...
  16. Local meets in southern CT.?

Killingly was mostly fire roads, a couple made ones not blocked off, nothing terrible. Union, main trails are open, some of the better ones are open but you will run into some branches. The Sarge Green has been pretty durable from branch rubs.
  17. Waited to Long

I would have to see them in person. I have seen a few videos going over them and the install, checked out their site for putting together a set. Didn't see any color combinations I liked based on their site. But that is the issue with shopping online, pictures versus in person, can change the...
  18. Local meets in southern CT.?

Same here, I'm in Manchester but would love to go on some trail runs. Been on a few, Union, a little bit of one in Ellington, also just went on one in Killingly area. Union has some nice ones but just me an family, didn't want to go too far alone.
